Tiguan test drove both SUVs and preferred the looks, on road ride, and refined quietness of the motor. So I recently bought the 2024 R Line black. My Canadian version has good feedback through the steering wheel.

We were in the market for an mid size SUV for my daughter (16) entering junior year this year (2024). For 4 months we shopped and test drove the RAV 4, MX5, MX50, CRV, Q3 and the Tiguan SE. I said to my kid that I was willing to give her $1, per dollar she contributes to buy her car, cash. After some eliminatioins, the decision was between the MX5 and the Tiguan SE. We visited 8-10 dealers, Mazda dealers wanting 26-29 for 2 years old car with 26-40K miles with 3 yr/36Kmiles warranty. Ended up buying a Tiguan SE 2024 certified with moonroof, 6 year warranty, and 2K miles for under $30K. Now we discovered that the the new Tiguan has more hidden features than some of its competitors, she loves it. My older daghter also bought a Tiguan in 2019, it is safe and reliable. Bought a 2024 SEL R Line. Changed the steering to sport in the custom mode. It helps a lot. If you use the shifter sport mode, it also changes the gearing.

The steering on my 24 Tiguan feels very good and my opinion is the opposite Kinda weird,but I always keep it in sport mode. The torque is good, but there is some pretty bad turbo lag IMO. It feels faster than what it says on paper.

I have a 2022 SEL R-Line, and everything that's being said as "standard" has always been standard. I don't see much of a change. I'm not missing out of the things mentioned on here.

This one looks better than the 2025 model I have a Gray Sel r-line and highway mileage is 30 even though they advertise 26.

I like the VW volume control! Don’t care for the cavernous moonroof! And not everyone hits the accelerator to the floor when driving off the line! It is plenty good for a family. Steering is fine this is not a Camaro or mustang.

Its an old model. In Europe there is a new generation which is produced since 2024. There is no sense in buying this model

I have one, and whilst its built very solid, and looks way more sporty/sleek than its competitors, I just find it a bit boring to drive. Reliable, solid, but boring.

2017 vw Tiguan piece of shit, oil burn, carbon the valve every 75,000 miles, air condition and radiator fan broke within 80,000 miles, lower control arm bushing cracked within 75,000 miles, heavy carbon buildup in the tailpipe

I have 2023 Tiguan R line black fwd my mpg is at around 32 to 35 only thing I wish it had more HP but it does ride pretty good on the highway

Get the ARP stage 1 tune and you will LOVE it. My buddy's dad has that on his and I'm getting mine done soon. Does not void warranty if you get it tuned at a dealer that is an ARP location!

i just bought one 2024 - Sport Model . The car must be warmed up for 1-2 minutes before talking off & Make sure you use Peak European vehicles antifreeze - coolant , Good price .

Just got a 2024 and test drive a cross sport thinking it would be a night and day difference due to the engine and turbo. Not so much Atlas is heavy and not quick.
