I agree with all of the positive comments on this vehicle as I have owned a calligraphy hybrid for three weeks. I researched it by watching a lot of reviews, but one thing that very few reviews mentioned is the forward warning (FAW) that is used to make sure that the driver is paying attention while using the adaptive cruise control system. This is the little camera that sits on top of the steering column and watches your eyes. If you look away from the road to change radio stations for more than a couple of seconds, you will get a warning notice. If you continue to turn your eyes away from straight ahead, it can shut off the cruise control altogether. In my case, I cannot wear sunglasses because this system cannot see my eyes, and therefore it will not allow me to use the adaptive cruise while wearing sunglasses. Although it says you can shut this off, it does not turn off. Many people have contacted Hyundai complaining about this and they say they say there is a fix coming, but who knows when. other than this, it is a wonderful vehicle, but I hope this one overreach is resolved.

sure do wish that reviewers would add a segment to their reviews on NIGHT DRIVING!! No one does and it is annoying that I want to see the cabin and what it looks like at NIGHT. How is it lighted within? How is visibility through the front windows and the rear camera???

I’ve test driven the Santa Fe and completely agree that the DCT is wonky at low speeds but I really like the vehicle. I have an old Mazda 3 so went to test drive the Mazda CX 90 and really wanted to love the tech is not quite as advanced as the Santa Fe. I am concerned about the transmission. I’ve had a lot of transmission issues with my Acadia and don’t want to go through that with another vehicle.

Good job I tested them all was sold on a all black santa fe calligraphy the interior did it I went to get palsada test drove both for hour lol I owned a 2021 santa fe wanted more space the third row on santa fe not bad 21 inch rims and the warranty pushed me toward the santa fe over the pilot or highlanders my only other thought was telluride but my son has a sportage it was just like it the cx90 phev is the only real car that almost got me but no regrets 60k bb 100k warranty free oil changes 3yrs bluelink free for life

The totals for the hybrid are 231HP and 277 lb/ft torque. It does not feel slow at all. We've had our AWD, hybrid, Calligraphy for 3 months now and are very impressed.

The Santa Fe’s DCT has reliability issues. That is why I would look at the hybrid version or perhaps a Palisades. This certainly will not take away sales from the Ford Explorer which is the king of the segment.

What u think is worth getting kia carnival or Hyundai Santa Fe they both around 40k different is Santa Fe got AWD and carnival got more space ?

In general, Hyundai / Kia / Genesis bring so much more to the table than others for anywhere near the money, but the way Hyundai occasionally relies on some pretty blatant copying of other successful brands is kind of off putting. It screams try-hard and feels cheap. I have faith that they can easily stand on their own. Come on, Hyundai, you’re better than that and don’t need to ripoff anyone else’s designs.

OK, every manufacturer borrows design and tech bits from other manufacturers. That's how vehicles have gotten so good over the years.

@@BhutJolokias One look at the steering wheel design and doing a side-by-side with a Land Rover (which is being "borrowed", to use your word) should tell you everything you need to know about the difference between taking inspiration from another manufacturer and borderline ripping them off in a cheap and lazy way. The 2024 Mustang's rear end reminds me of a Camaro -- not a big deal. This Santa Fe is a blatant clone of a vehicle they are hoping to create a bargain version of -- IMO, kind of lame when you're trying hard to be taken seriously.

Why would you choose a naturally aspirated V6 over Santa Fe's turbocharged I4? I'd say, for longevity and smooth power delivery. The Honda Pilot V6 will last you half a million miles if properly maintained.

The problem with both Santa Fe and sorrento is that dual clutch motor. Sales are going to be down until they get rid of this motor which never should have gone into an SUV

I really, really, really want this car. This car in this color !! It is my perfect car. This is the car I have been visualizing when I dream of my perfect car. I need a car that is just like me. It can dress up and be dignified and classy, elegant and smooth. It can be earthy and you can pack a lotta lotta lotta camping or vacation gear in this car. It has a fantastic roof rack. It can be a hard worker, taking care of practical uses. You can put a Christmas tree in it or furniture. If I decided to do Uber XL, I could use this car. This car was made for me. I have absolutely no idea how I am going to get this and pay my student loans. I have to figure it out.

I really had my heart set on a Genesis GV80 but they don't have a hybrid option yet. This Santa Fe calligraphy feels just as luxurious for $25,000 less. It's just rugged on the outside.

How selfish are these reviewers? Are they only thinking about themselves? Don't they consider shorter people? And what about overweight individuals? When you fall from a height, your body absorbs the impact based on the product of mass and height. By placing the handle lower like that, it significantly reduces the impact on the body. Just wait until you get older. Going down a single step won't be easy. Why? Because the impact is considerable.
