I wanna take a moment to thank you for all the effort that you put into your channel here. You are my number one reference when it comes to moisturisers, especially what to use in summer or winter . Your this or that episodes are so damn good. Loved your beauty podcast and how you always care about giving a true opinion on skincare products. And you have no idea how much it helps when you put the full ingredients list. Really appreciate your hard work and wish you the best of luck ❤

I love your content. During the pandemic, I really got into learning everything I could about skin care. I subscribed to 20 to 30 different skin care content creators. As I learned more about skincare, I did not need to follow as many. You are one of the ones I chose to continue to watch for informed content. Thank you for being there.

Hi Kelly, although I took a break from diving into skincare I just got back into your content and wanna tell you what it meant for me to find your channel! I was so happy and relieved to finally find a creator who also has sensitive skin and values fragrance free products. As I got older my skin sensitivy and allergies just kept getting worse. By 30 I had newly developed rosacea too. It's taken me YEARS to figure out what works for me, my triggers, rosacea treatment etc. So many channels focus on heavily fragranced and strong actives with no regard to other ingredients. I LOVE how you approach your channel, it is such a needed breath of fresh air and these chatty routines are some of my favorite. I love the holistic wellness perspective you bring as well, it's just so soothing and comforting. The integrity you have and respect for your viewers is SOOO apparent as well. You truly want what's best for our skin and do an amazing job facilitating that with your recommendations. I promise your hard work and passion is SEEN and appreciated. Thank you!!! 🤗

I really appreciate that you actually respond to a lot of your comments and answer questions, and not just with thanks and ❤❤❤, you know? A lot of the skincare/derm people I follow always say to leave comments and questions below, and then they respond to absolutely nothing. So, if I can answer people or steer them in a direction, I do, and I also have been recommending your channel a lot when people are looking for barrier help, or Korean skincare, or they’re frustrated with skin congestion, etc. I know they’ll find a good video from you and that you’ll try to help them out. And you have some of the best product recommendations. So thank you!

I really appreciate your ethics. Like other lurkers and subscribers, I began my skincare journey with many creators I followed, my age and not, and pruned back to ones with integrity, my skin type, and some my age. The knowledge and advice for multiple skin types helps me. I am down to you, James Welsh, and Dr. Dray for skincare, and Labmuffin as a generalist. I did the same in the makeup creators- Jen Phelps, Risa does makeup, Robert Welsh, Geek Out of Water, and Laura Rae are my current choices, along with a few other older, less regular creators. I appreciate all the content creators I follow and their continued integrity, beauty , skin and hobby.

Hi Kelly, would you let us know how you incorporate copper peptide and other peptide serums, preferably The Ordinary’s GF serum? Because incorporating peptide serums, especially copper peptide, which sometime feels drying to my already dry skin😅 Your kind sharing knowledge/ advice would be highly appreciated ❤ FYI, at this point, I have copper peptide from Thramid, The ordinary, and Geek and Gorgeous, which is not necessarily a copper peptide-centric serum😊

Kelly, it's hard, people are very rude on social media and those people wouldn't say the same thing to you if they were face to face. Kelly you are living my dream. But I just can’t find the courage to really get into it. For one I don’t know much about filing and editing. But I’m afraid I don’t fit the influencer look. I don’t have perfect skin I have redness and discoloration I’m not a huge make up person so I feel like I wouldn’t influence people Becuase I wouldn’t come on with that “perfect” look. But that’s what I want the whole idea of my channel to be I want it to be real and want people to see results see real skin struggles. I have spent the past couple years learning about skin for not just myself but others around me and have helped people in my family, friends and people I work with. I just wish I had the courage to really take the plunge and do it!
@KellyDriscollКүн бұрын
The best advice I can give you is to just push record and upload your dang video! If you wait to be ready or for the perfect moment, I promise you, you will never get started. And likely, nothing much will happen from your first video but you will learn and then take that learning into your next video, and the next and next. You will need to learn while you are working in obscurity, this is the only way to refine your skills as a creator. I worked for years in obscurity before I ever got anywhere with my channel and I'll tell you a secret, I STILL make a ton of mistakes and wish I could be better with editing, lighting, audio etc. But I don't let perfection get in the way of a job done, I just keep learning! Good luck, you can do this!

In the last several months I've seen some of my previously favorite You Tube creators pile on one my my favorite skincare brands with very snarky single-focused videos to bring down the brand. I choose not to post angry comments, but I do unsubscribe. I don't expect every creator to love what I love. I'm looking for reviews that are helpful to my purchasing decisions. I think what I'm seeing in these hypercritical videos is smugness that has nothing to do with skincare knowledge.
@KellyDriscoll5 күн бұрын
Odd, I wonder what brand this was. I can for sure say that negative reviews/outrage content gets a lot of engagement and therefore helps the creator (even if it's only short term), it's likely they are choosing to engage with that to help their numbers. It's really gross, but it is a strategy that works for a lot of people.
