I was really nervous when I researched germination chambers & saw pricing. I am building my first chamber sinceI have learned more. Still hope to grow into better equipment as we mature as farmers .

Sounds great until you realize the paper isn't biodegradable. Whatever chemical is being used to make this paper hold up I don't want to eat or put into my soil.

@Soilfoodwebwarrior appears to me, having just starting using paperpots, it's a waxed paper. What kind of wax? That I do not know. Knowing it takes wax, even vegetable based wax, a LONG time to break down I'll do what Conor does and remove the spent chains and discard them after clearing a bed - comfortable enough that very little, if any, undesirable compounds have made their way into my soil. Even if Nippon resolves all issues and other organic certifiers approve it, I'd be removing it from beds after that crop is done. Long strips of partially buried paper pose a risk of pulling out young plants in the next crop when using cultivation tools.
