Bought 20 of them and really like them! So sturdy they will last forever and produced some healthy plants. Thank you for providing us these Conner! 👍🌱😁

These trays are great. Air pruning the roots was the best tip for My plants.

Nice trays. I would like to know how they are seeded... For the 1020s, there are these vacuum plates, but I assume these Winstrips do have a different pattern. Do you sow by hand? Would like to hear your reasoning in regards how you seed in the trays.

We used both and I definitely prefer the more durable. And not to heavy for kids to walk with for transplanting.

I tried soil blocks but the juice isn't worth the squeeze. Meaning they're not very efficient. They take more time and work which is better spent doing something else. I'm all about working simple,efficient and organized. I'll have to try these trays. All the rain we've had has wiped me out and last evening the hail, up to golf ball size, finished everything. No cat tunnels or hoop houses so I'm at the mercy of the weather. It's cool though because there's still plenty of time to replant. Thank you

For starting seeds indoors I use the bottom watering method. Would these trays still root prune if they were sitting in another tray that I fill with water? I imagine they would have to be propped up so air can circulate underneath.
@NeversinkFarm5 жыл бұрын
Yes, they would root prune on the side slits, jut not the bottom

Where do you buy the washing sinks and salad spinners? And where do you get the clear box packaging for your greens to bring to market?

What mix do you use or recommend for loading the trays? I've tried a few, but perhaps I have used too much soil or perlite (or both), as I find by the time I'm ready to transplant, ive lost about a third of my mix from the cells due to bottom watering.

I imagine you need to have your watering dialled in for a fluffy potting mix so seedlings dont dry out. Is once a day enough?
@NeversinkFarm5 жыл бұрын
Most days it is. If it gets hot and sunny then twice

would you bottom water using the Winstrips? or top water? I really like the concept compared to soil blocks!
@NeversinkFarm3 жыл бұрын
One can do either. I have too many seedlings to bottom water and I like the airflow of not having a bottom tray

Is there a fear over over watering or the paper trays "breaking down" or tearing during transfer?
@NeversinkFarm4 жыл бұрын
They do not break down easily
@johnnylamuelo21025 жыл бұрын
The best trays you could possibly buy, we reduced time, money & failures by switching to the "winstrips". Well worth the expense.
@cpnotill92645 жыл бұрын
I agree, sturdy and really produced nice starts. Some people say they're expensive. I say you get what you pay for and these will last forever.
