I am struck by how much younger Phyllis Logan looks than Mrs. Hughes! The same goes for Lesley Nicol (Mrs. Patmore) as well.

The one thing this series brings through is no matter how cherished a slave there is a line that wont be crossed. I can hardly imagine working in that dungeon to find myself jumping at every command of the arrogant Carson. I cant imagine having someone dress me!! or how devastating my day would be if my personal maid split and I had to get up to find something to wear. People criticize the Romans but the new Europeans were running the same show on a smaller scale.
