LA is a small town compared to NYC, but it still has a charm about it. Hills and palm trees are nice but what LA really needs is more and better public transportation and more highrises: LA should be looking like Istanbul or CDMX.

A big factor that I know of that prevents L.A. from having those things is the soil foundation and the chance of big earthquakes.
