In Japan, from the late 70's to the early 80's, there was a period of more than 10 years that felt like a lie. Delinquent boys and girls, school violence, and people in their teens and 20s known as motorcycle gangs were causing problems and incidents every day. This was an era full of students like Ma-kun (Hamada-san), who appeared in this content. There were many schools across Japan where 30-50% of the students were rebellious children like Ma-kun. Ma-kun was still at a decent level, and the more extreme ones were even more violent. It wasn't just small fights, but things got worse and worse, like destroying buildings and using illegal drugs. When the school could no longer deal with the situation, they naturally turned to the police. The "Downtown Couple" were also students at that time, so they are of a generation that knows this fact well. The media reported on it almost every day, and many TV dramas, movies, and songs based on this current situation became popular. Because they were young, they were easily influenced by the environment around them, and they had the illusion that it was cool to rebel against adults and people with more power than them. There was a time when once a person was labeled as a "Delinquent boy/girl" he fell into a negative spiral and found it difficult to rehabilitate himself. ⚫ Reference video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iqXGi3WnZsycgaMsi=JQ3SW8s9zVHkuPFa kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWPbZoOonsRnl7csi=ZvTuZGfAzIVk2Ctj One of the words that symbolizes this era is "Don't lick it!" / Namen-nayo!"⚠️🤪🚫▶️💥▶️🤕 It's like a warning, don't underestimate yourself! Behind these words is the feeling, "If you disrespect me any further, I'll punch you! You'll get hurt!" It is a character goods derived from this word that became very popular, and is called "Name-neko / なめ猫 / licked-cat". 😸😹👅 ⚫ Reference video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5LXkHqNi9ioeMksi=d4_Ioh71iyqAms4C Recently, there has been a resurgence of "Nameneko". Cats are cute, but I personally think it's a nuisance for them to be used for human convenience. 70% of today's Japanese people are from the Showa era, a generation that knows about that era! School violence was not the only aspect of Japanese culture at that time; there were many other aspects of culture that were cultivated. However, these incidents of school violence, etc. have been a problem that has continued for more than 10 years, so it is a social phenomenon that cannot be described with the word "boom". 💚 PS-1: Mr. Alex, a little hint for your video production is that the demographic composition of Japanese people is that 70% are from the Showa generation. (*Showa generation is people born before 1989.) It is true that the Showa generation is aging, but since the Showa era lasted 64 years, it is a very thick group. The time when the remaining 30% or less will control the initiative for Japan as a whole is still some time away. Many of the habits and sensibilities of the Showa generation remain in various aspects, including political, economic, and cultural. This is one of the reasons why so many people enjoy Alex's videos of The Drifters and DownTown Comedy. For this demographic, if you consider generational characteristics by about 3% when choosing a video theme, your video may be enjoyed by even more viewers. 💚 PS-2 : There is a funny episode. There was a big park in my town. (A park about 1 km away from my house) At that time, there was a huge motorcycle gang group of about 2,000 to 3,000 members called the "Black Emperor" and "Kanto Union". At the end of the year, they gathered from all over the country and were on a "runaway countdown to New Year's Eve", gathering in some city. From a certain year, the nearby park began to be used as a meeting place. When we started hearing the roar of motorcycles and modified cars, my mother would open the window and cheer for them. "Do your best! Do more! Do it! Do your best! whew, whew!" she was encouraging them. 🤣🤣🤣 She was a very serious mother, but sometimes she goes crazy. As a child, I was shocked and stunned. 😧 During her second year and then her third year, I joined her in cheering for her. This is a prank that is a regular change of pace in our house. 🤪🤗 The man who was the 7th generation leader of the 2,000-member motorcycle gang later became an actor and is still active as a reluctant actor. He has also published his past career. As a matter of fact, when the conflict between biker gangs was intense, he won a fight with 1000 opponents against him alone. That episode has been passed down as a legend. As an actor, he plays the roles of police officers, homicide detectives, and kind fathers, so I think his life is interesting. ☺️👍

Thank you for this post. As always, I was surprised to read it. 😎👍 I have a question: is it really possible to defeat 1000 people alone? or did he defeat 10 people and over time the number of opponents grew and this story turned into a legend? 🙂🤔
@DONPAN-YO
@DONPAN-YO 9 ай бұрын
hahaha…🤣👍🏻 I had the same doubts as you. A person who becomes the leader of a motorcycle gang of several thousand members becomes as famous as a celebrity. (When he was leader, there were about 2,000 members under his direct control, and if you include branches, the group has more than 10,000 members.) Although they engage in anti-social and violent behavior, they are characterized by being very strict with their own rules and regulations. The higher up the group (executives) the more strictly they follow the rules. They also tend to dislike lies, and even if the story gets a bit big, I don't think it's 100% a lie. Otherwise, the leader will not be able to gain the trust of thousands of members. It seems that they had their own social order. 🤔 I first heard about the "1:1000 fight" when the leader talked about it on a TV talk show after he became an actor. It is impossible for anyone to count 1000 people during a fight. There is no confirmation as to whether or not it is exactly 1,000 people. In reality, it seems that about 20 out of 1,000 people were knocked out by him, and the rest who felt threatened by the situation fled. That's the legend that says, "He won a fight 1:1000". I'm surprised that he was able to knock out 20 people by himself, and I'm also surprised that he fought in such a way that it demoralized the remaining 980 people who watched the fight, right? 🥶 Also, if he had kept knocking out 1,000 people, I think the police would have rushed in somewhere along the way. 👮🏻👮🏼‍♂️ 🚓🚓..🚑…💨 This actor doesn't hide his background, so I think it's safe to write about it here, but... When he was in the sixth grade of elementary school, he fought with 23 middle school students and won, and he repeated the same thing after that, was expelled from high school twice, and entered a juvenile detention center. After being released from a juvenile detention center, he joined a motorcycle gang. (He is quite a strong person.) However, he continued to live in vain, living without any goals. At that time, he remembered the autobiography of Charlie Chaplin that his mother had given him when he was in a juvenile detention center, and he decided to become an actor. And let me add again to avoid any misunderstanding: ever since he became an actor, he hasn't caused any trouble, and when he laughs, he's a man with a nice, gentle smile. A big baby weighing 5,000g when he was born. 🍼👶🏼 When he was in junior high school, he was already aspiring to become a major league baseball player and was considering moving to the United States, and he is currently 190cm tall. If the social situation of his time had been different, he might not have become the seventh biker gang leader. I like him as an actor. 🤗💕 🟠 Reference video : kzbin.infoHdPSOj2x-6w?si=uj-qfASGsd0SYmLI 👆🏼 The first half of the short video introduces him. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHzVYZqchqhoeposi=Dc0HgJWANhm7YtLb 👆🏼 Variety show. The scene where he appears is kind. (He is the large man on the right side.)
