Moved here 6 years ago and I'm never leaving. I love Wenatchee and being here. Cascade mountains, 300+ days of sunshine, 9" of rainfall annually, miles of excellent trails, terrific free public transportation, minutes from Leavenworth in one of the most beautiful states in America.

I live in Wenatchee and grew up here. Like any town it has its nice areas and run down areas. But not every town has the Columbia River and the waterfront park along with the Pybus Market. It is nice here.

Just come across this. Thanks! Doing a road trip in this part of the US in October and Wenatchee is on the itinerary as we prefer to stay away from the big cities. This video really helps. (From Melbourne, Australia)

Wenatchee is FAR from rundown & dirty. It’s just industrial - Major fruit packing operations and loads of wineries around. It’s incredibly beautiful once you get off that main drag. And relatively low homeless, etc. compared to the Seattle metro and even Spokane.

They are driving side roads, away from scenic areas, behind main buildings at times. Where are the lovely silver sculptures? Where is the park by the river? Why not go up the mountain bit-to to see the vast expanse of the valley, from the dam, to the end coming into town from Quincy? Where is the reconfigured Owl Drug --with milkshakes and ambiance from the 20's? Needs narration!
