There is an easy way to fix the flat bow issue - put 2 of the blue bird's head wedges on the mermaids rack for a busty bust. Job done!

I have a custom ship made out of my Caribbean Clipper and Black Sea barracuda from when I was younger. Pirates is always one of my favorite themes to Legos.

I love the shift from big boat bricks and paper or cloth sails to all brick build. I feel like this could have some huge potential. Nevertheless, I am still waiting for a new version of The Black Pearl... :(

I think to this day, it's the only lego ship fully built from separate bricks. No molds for hull and even sails are lego!

Definitely an excellent set. Love all 3 builds. I really like the brick built look to them (especially the ship). The ship looks very unique compared to other ships which I quite like. It's got it's own charm to it.

In think this set may have the most interesting alternate builds in the 3in1 line, yet. I'm probably going to get two and build the alternate builds to combine them with Pirates of Barracuda Bay (in the ship version) in the theme park of my city. It would be the first 3in1 set I primarily get for alternate builds. (Doesn't mean the ship isn't great as well, though.)

Seeing this after watching your 31109 ship upgrade video, I see how your design was informed by the shortcomings of the original ship design. Also, I'm looking at the alternate builds a little differently, considering their sizes relative to the ship. I love the general design of the inn, but I'm also very interested in seeing what I can do with the concept with three sets, especially looking at the number of leftover pieces. The brick-built birds are hilarious... but I agree that the brick-built shark is well done, and the brick-built horse and cart are very well done on the part of the designer(s). I also agree with other commenters in that I'm seeing this as more of an expansion to Barracuda Bay... and I also really want to see a re-release of the LEGO Black Pearl.
