Interesting how what upgrades are good is completely flipped on its head for a speedrun. Things like candle and gunpowder blocks are pretty mediocre for a normal hard mode run but here they are a godsend

Hey i started playing downwell today and i feel like my game is so slow running compare to you i got an 144 hz monitor and the game still feels slow if you know how to fix it tell me pls!

Hello! It's an issue with some GameMaker games on Windows 10 after a certain update... If you have an Nvidia graphics card, open the Nvidia Control Panel, check into the program options for Downwell (or set them, if you haven't already) and look for an option called Max Frame Rate. It's probably off, so turn it on and set it to your refresh rate of 144 (Downwell only runs at 60 FPS, but just to be sure). Make sure to click Apply after that. Then, the next time you launch the game, those settings should take effect, and hopefully you will have full speed!

while playing the game you unlock STYLES, flab is using boulder style which makes them have 6hp but one less upgrade choice, you can also see the walking (and sometimes falling) animations changed.
