Hi, guys! No need to apologize for anything. This is your experience and your perspective. If others don't like it they can get their own boat 😁. Thank you for keeping the channel going! My family hopes to follow in your wake a few years from now. Thank you for the inspiration and hope! Stay safe and awesome!

Don't change a thing on the intro. It's the perfect length - not tediously long, not abruptly short. It's fun, colourful, and the music is perfect. I agree with your 60s/70s tv analogy - it tells what you're doing and introduces everyone. Ignore the armchair editors - you've nailed it for length and content. As a sailor who said "this can only end in tears" when I saw your first video, I'm still very happy for you, and still glad to have been proved wrong. Keep going for those of us who can't, stick together, and have fun. :-)) Lance H SV Great Escape

Hey guys, I agree with your assessment of the Galapagos Islands. Very interesting you thinking about a Cat. I can't give you any advise on the subject except what you already know 'space over points of sail'. It will be very interesting to watch your story unfold in relation to this. you're doing great. Craig

The intro is fine. Can't be compared to sitcoms because we as viewers initiate watching as opposed to the other way around. I skip past it because I like starting where the story left off. But I don't mind the intro at all! Thanks for inviting us into your life at sea. My life is on the smaller freshwater sea of Lake Michigan and we get out there as much as possible but I love vicariously exploring other places too. Fair winds to you and yours!

Hi Zatara UK family here in London we watched your videos for the last few months and think there great! We went back to beginnng and watched the whole lot we did the same with our two boys when they were teenagers in a large RV around Us 8 years on and off - believe me it is the best thing for the family the reunions and memories you are making now will stay with your family for ever - take no notice of any negatives regarding schooling they learn with you much more than any system in school - good work enjoy every minute it will last a lifetime into many generations of your family - keep filming and having fun. Slowly catching up with you peeps, I love the laid back commentary. There is none of the "Our way is the THE way", instead you guys have gone ... "We are doing it this way... we'll let you know if it goes all to hell" I like it, you admit you aren't experts, and are taking us on your learning curve. Renee, your videograghy and editing is coming on leaps and bounds, THANKYOU for your efforts. I'm another old timer that was bought up in the TV era where intro's were important. I love watching the photo scheme change as your family has new experiences. Thumbs up from me. Considering this episode is now 11 months old, I can only assume that your subscribers and viewers are like those annoying car drivers that everyone hates (including themselves) who find it to hard to move a hand 5 inches to turn an indicator on (In this case make the effort to "like" or "dislike") Come on folks. This family has taken us into their world, spend hours of their time editing and uploading, and whether you like it or not, you cant be bothered giving them a single click as feed back ??? 27,494 views. 2k (2000ish) likes, 11 dislikes. Honestly folks, with the way KZbin algorithms work, this and a lot of other great quality reality based channels are going to slide into obscurity and be dominated by the "Clickbait" channels unless people make a 1 second effort to like or dislike, particularly within the first 48 hours of posting the video. Stepping of my soapbox now. Thankyou Renee, Keith and kids for the effort you put in to entertain us.

Yup! Best part of my day. There's always a smile of anticipation hearing "Float Away". Know all the lyrics, happily singing along with a bit of excitement because it means another chapter of Zartara is about to start. Hearing Delos's intro "Ramukanji" affects me the same way.

I got the idea I wanted to set a goal for learning to sail and going cruising. I found you videos last week while looking into cats. Since then I’ve been binge watching them along with some others in my family. I’d comment on all of them so far but we have it playing on the tv haha. I want to thank you for being so open so honest and allowing those who are interested in an alternative life to be able to follow along and stoke the fire 🔥 for our goals! We love getting to know all of you and hope that your latest season (during/post Covid lock down) is going smoothly! Thank you and I’m sure we’ll have questions for you along the way but for now I’m learning all I can. P.S. my dad was a lot like Keith he had dreams of doing this with our family nearly 20 years ago. He was starting to plan things when sadly he passed away suddenly. It’s been 18years this summer he’s gone and well seems my life is headed back in the direction it was when I was a teenager a longing to be on the open water. I think it’s a beautiful thing to have done this with and for your family. Bless you all and happy sailing ⛵️ 😁☀️🌴 ~Kate

Love your videos, very well done. My family of 5 have been cruising Caribbean '97-'99 and Med -sailed over in 2000, 8 years of criss crossing the med -then back to the Azores in 2008 - and northern Europe 2011. We have done 1-6months per year and just put the boat on the hard while we go back to work and school - we are currently in Les Sables d'Olonne France near where your boat was built and our Beneteau '93 - 51 Oceanis, the model with the 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, everyone got their own room. Keep giving the tech stuff Kieth, I love your work around for winds and weather via sat phone. My kids are now 27-32 and still dream of coming to the boat, they got hooked on it. Over the next 2 seasons we are planning on heading back to the Caribbean then thru the Panama and then retrace you. Thanks for these videos, I know they are lots of work. Safe travels

I see the first mention of thoughts towards a cat as I work through from the start of your journey. Mentioned then about the choice of a Beneteau and a hull shape more for coastal sailing but you've shown that your 55 will cross an ocean even if 'leaning over' somewhat. I can see that a great family under deck space and wide aft cockpit were part of your decision and the boat has done you proud. Thanks for the honest and interesting input you both make into the videos and ..... your kids are a credit to you.

As a world traveller I understand the challenges one faces and the effort required to sift through information regarding policies, restrictions, permits etc. As an aside I would urge you to refrain from making statements of ideological convenience; that is, Ecuador is not a Communist country (not since 1979), it is a representative democracy. We are planning on getting a Catamaran as well. We like the space, livability, and speed of Cat's. Playing catch up here, so I'm binge watching these... Renee, I'd like to say I LOVE your intro. The graphics, camerawork and cuts but most of all the music... it blends the camerawork and graphics and picks you up and leads you right into the show... I always find myself humming along with that beat... SOOO good! While I may be one of the ones who will disagree with a cat over a mono (sorry Renee but I LOVE the heelin' feelin'!!) You aint' really sailin' if yer on on the lean!! As for othr aspects of Cat's... while thy don't heel and they are "faster" on the points of sail they sail well, they do not point as well as mono's... and even die hard cat lovers will tell you they are "bumpy"... they can have a very "choppy'" feel in the swells, very uncomfortable as compared to the "rollieness" of mono's... (Do NOT get me started on the purchase and running expense of cat's in comparison to mono's either... $$$$)... But, you are the guy at the wheel and it's your family and your adventure... I'll stay subscribed until ya'll drop anchor for the last time... Fair winds and following seas.

Love your videos. BTW I am subscribed and check the like button every time. The intros are awesome. Sets the mood which never fails to provide a few moments of enjoyment as often as you can send them to us. Don't stop. Would love to have done what you are all doing when I was younger.
