England Dan and john Ford Coley, always put on a professional show. Yes I spent many an hour seeing concerts from the best decade of music, the seventies. If I Had a dollar for every dude, that sang, more than a feeling for me, I'd be rich.

Lonely boy was the first song I heard play on the radio when I turned 14. It instantly resonated with me as did Gerry Rafferty, Supertramps give a little bit and breakfast in America. So many banging songs from the 1970s and some many people don't know like Jack in the box by the moments

There are just too many 1970s songs that are absolute gems. Having said that, I would add Peter Frampton’s live version of “Do You Feel Like I Do” as at least honorable mention.

I've always loved that Andrew Gold song. I sang in a cover band for a while in the early 80's, and we did a lot of Linda Ronstadt songs. I've always wondered if this song wasn't a bit of a dig at Linda over the fact that he never had the success that she had, so he was resigned to being her arranger and a player in her band for many years.

How long was revived in 1981 by the Disco group Lipps Inc. As a follow up to 1979s Funky Town. It reached number 4 in the US dance charts. Neither version is heard much on UK radio. The ACE version was a lovely change from the Glam Rock and pop of 1974.❤️

Missed: Anything by David Cassidy (yes the man who was better looking than most men with more than 20 albums to his name, #1 hit in the world in 1970 the first song he sang professionally and had 2 Broadway hits and 3 years top draw in Vegas in the 90s, have some respect for the guy! He sang about suicide when he was 24 and paired his writing with very famous people). Then there is Leo Sayer, Harry Nilsson, The Doobie Bros, The Allman Bros, Grand Funk Railroad, The James Gang, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Pure Prairie League, Four Tops, Al green, Curtis Mayfield, Dianna Ross, The Spinners, The O’Jays, Eric Carmen, The Eagles, Chicago FFS…anything by Stevie Wonder and ABBA, ELP, ELO, Deep Purple, Focus, Blondie, Jim Croce, Carly Simon, Jackson Brown…. Were you born after 2000? SMH

My roommate got this Boston album when it just hit the stores. His mother worked in the music department in what used to be May's Department Store and she would let her son know about the new popular stuff they got. We made a deal, I would pay half the price of the albums he decided to buy (on his mothers recommendation) if I was able to record the first play on my reel to reel recorder. Of course as soon as I got done recording Boston's first album I was hooked. Between the two of us, even as broke kids, we were able to snag a lot more music splitting the price. Sometimes he'd get an album I didn't think I wanted, he'd play the record and I'd feel rather dumb for not springing for half, that was the case with the Dave Mason album. I didn't know who Dave Mason was, hadn't heard anything he did so I didn't end up with the first play. Many times, like with Dave Mason, I'd end up buying the factory reel to reel tape because I liked it that much.

I can never hear Supertramp's "Give a Little Bit" without thinking of its use in the 1978 Superman movie, because someone editing that picture clipped out a full measure of the music between shots. Apparently they weren't familiar with the song or were just painfully tone deaf because it's a jarring glitch, like a record skipping a groove. It's odd to me that the music was already on the pictures soundtrack before they were editing it.

Great list but there are continuity issues with the visuals. Many of the songs show the artists playing guitar both left handed and right handed. Being a lefty guitarist, it's something I look for constantly. Trust me, no one plays guitar both left handed and right handed. If that were the case then everyone would only play right handed. Just sayin'. The "Street Life" song I'd long forgotten about but a great choice! Plus, I didn't even know the B-52s song. Keep up the great work!!

'Driver's Seat' - poor man's 'Wicked Game' (Chris Isaac) 5. 'Street Life' - not awesome, not even some 6. 'Love Is The Answer' - blah 7. 'How Long' - great song 8. 'Renegade' - garbage, Lorenzo Lamas is spinning in his grave; 'Blue Collar' by BTO tops 'Blue Collar Man' 9. 'Magic' - thanks, I'll go to Olivia Newton-John for my Magic. Fittingly, yours now sells a weight loss drug 10. 'Foreplay/Long Time' - absolutely slaps the salami 11. 'Dance This Mess Around' - can't say anything bad about the B-52's 12. 'Stuck In The Middle With You' - thanks for wasting 20 minutes of my life.
