Dozens of homes burned in 14,000-acre Mountain Fire

Firefighters hope to take advantage of a break in the winds Thursday morning as they continue to battle the Mountain Fire in Ventura County that has already scorched thousands of acres and destroyed dozens of homes.

man firefighter have such a tough job, particularly when the santa ana's kick in its a firestorm and even they have to get out of they way. Really hard work in heavy gear, obviously heat and breathing smoke and soot the whole time. My hats off to you all, watching homes burn is not fun for anyone but they do their best, risk their lives, god bless you all. I go camping and taste the campfire for days, I have been "in" a couple cali fires, the big ones in santa barbara a while back. luckily the winds blew east along the ridge and not south down the hill or goleta and santa barbara wouldn't exist today. That fire was HUGE and they stopped it with natures help. Without help from nature we have no chance I just wish the world would pay more attention to climate, pollution etc. If we can learn to live in balance with nature we all win, if not nature will take us all out one way or another. Its our choice... evolve or die and we have no time left to debate this. Living a permaculture society is the only way forward, all other paths lead to hell on earth. ✌️🖖✌️🤞🙏💪👍 come together people and live together as the one world we have, the one world we are.
