As good as Armie was it was Michael who brought the film home to me. That short speech was everything, the definition of a good supporting actor that elevated the film into classic territory. I hope he wins the Oscar.

Call Me By Your Name will go down in history as one of AFI's best movies of all time. Everything in it just transcends what a movie necessarily is -- when you make grown men cry because they've traveled back to their youth and yearned for that kind of acceptance and understanding from their parents, and that kind of wisdom when they felt so lost -- I mean, that performance coupled with this movie. Eternal. One of the greatest movies of all time.

Listening to him brings me back to that scene (Him and Timmy). Made me say his acting in that scene was so natural, with in-depth emotions in the calmness of his voice. I just wanna cry in every word he is uttering. What a brilliant man/actor!

I saw him in two movies today (Shape of Water and Call Me By Your Name) I loved both characters because of their humanity and intelligence as well as warmth also had no fucking clue he played both characters. Those performances almost made me shed tears because they were so damn compassionate. Love this actor already now!

Wow-fascinating to hear the part about how he doesn't really consider himself, or know if he will continue to be, an actor. He just goes into it because it gets him out of his shell and it's fun. I love that.

Appalling that he wasn't nominated for any of the biggest awards. Academy, Golden Globes, BAFTA, SAG: how could all of them pass him over is beyond me. Guess his role and performance was too subtle to be noticed. Only the BFCA (no coincidence, a CRITICS association) nominated both him and Hammer.
