Can I just say how poetic it is, the love this man feels for his profession and the fact that he uses the term "still there" to indicate, that the quality in his work is still perceivable. His objectivity is devoid of vanity, nor affected self-deprecation. I frickin love this guy.

Le film est super Luc! Merci surtout à toi d'avoir si bien respecté l'univers de Valérian et Laureline, je souhaite de tout coeur une suite!

Fantastic channel, so happy I found it. The interviewer is just the best and the artists seem relaxed and are given the time to answer the questions. Just all around a joy to listen to.

Valerian is the perfect book adaptation in my opinion. 😎 Valerian books were my art school since i was a kid in the 70s and one of the reasons i became an illustrator. 😎 To me the movie was simply perfect. 😎 This and The Big Blue are my favorite besson movies.

Can someone explain how this content is made? Who is this interviewer? How does he get this access to the film industry? Been watching for months now still have no idea

I also tend to spend more time being critical of something rather that promoting the good stuff, there is definitely a psychological aspect to it, even unhealthy at times. Although if your job is to see a film and report on it, you're bound to be more crtical because most stuff just isn't good - the contrast has a purpose, the good stuff stands out much more than if you're more or less positive about everything (just like if you're giving scores, use the whole scale) :)

Maybe I'm too old. I've watch it on cinema that time, was 11 that time, really enjoyed it. Nowadays, if I watch it again, I would enjoy again, as well... It is a great artistic work, indeed!

There are many examples like that. Michael Shannon is fantastic, yet scenes like "I'll find him" from Man of Steel exist. :)

Computer graphics in movies are boring. It's lazy from the director (not lazy of the hundreds of CG animators working for years and years) not being able to shoot everything in the camera with real actors instead. Cinema is not a video-game. I appreciate the expensive attempt, Luc, but please make some movies without CG. Thank you. Or like Dunkirk, Nolan's use of Imax and Tarantino's use of 70mm is where the real awesome "big experience" cinema is at. 3D is bullshit.

Just saw Valerian and didn't really enjoy it at all, especially the dialogue and the story/themes. The visuals were pretty and Rihanna's dance number was great, but wouldn't really care to see a sequel.

If he makes a V 2 then change the actors and do a soft reboot. The first movie was not great.

I love Besson. But this movie has bad script and has no actors to mach Bruce Willis, Milla Jovovich and Gary Oldman, if thirty years passes, Valerian will still be mediocre and The Fifth element will still be great celebrating 60. Like all his before 2k movies. Luc, I know You're in there, somewhere, wake up, we need old version of you.

Thought the question about french directors was rude and shallow and said more about the bonehead interviewer than anything else.
