Subway, Nikita, 5th Element, and now Lucy. Luc Besson has a really good urban/futuristic style.

This a great mind ... whose vision is seamlessly transposed to the screen & right into your own mind.

I'm sure his other film that was criticized was a really great film as well. One doesn't always have to have something to say with the art. Making any art whether it is through film, painting, sculpting or whatever medium we use, is beautiful by itself. Art speaks for itself. Art always speaks directly to our subconscious.

Soñor Besson, merci beaucoup for your dedication... We need you to take up the cudgel regarding the tv series 'colony'. It's an amazing story. It need closure and you are the man to bring it that.

I hate to be this guy but Lucy was awful. Just a terrible film. To start, it seemed to be edited by a spectacularly awful first year film student. All of the heralded special effects of the film were conveniently included in their entirety within the film's trailer. Scarlet Johansson's acting was extremely flat to me. I don't think it's a tough trick to speak your lines quickly in a serious manner to give off the impression of a cold, always-calculating, high-intelligence but it's been done (Example: Sherlock Holmes in either the BBC or the Guy Ritchie franchise). The incremental changes as she came closer to 100% were at first interesting but past 50% the weight of them was lost given that the changes weren't as noticeable, given that we no longer had imbedded signposts of Lucy's potential courtesy of Morgan Freeman. The romantic interest of the film was weakly developed and by the end, the "antagonists" (if that's what you can call them) were simply special effects fodder leaving NO real tension between them and Lucy by the films climax-or any time throughout. Interesting premise but ultimately unrealized. Sorry for the rant but this film is getting WAY more credit than it deserves in my opinion.
