Ravi is the co-director and young man (not young enough for his parents) looking for love. And Mom & Dad are characters that have to be seen. Meet the family in this 2-part DP/30 interview.

I want to know the story of the mother's leaving home and her parents. Sounds like it was traumatic for her parents to loose an eighteen year old bride who they are sending off to a strange groom in the US. She was emotional talking about her parents. That would be good short film. It would resonate with a lot of brides who still come to the US without knowing anything and not knowing their new spouse.

+kiran wingelaar That is a brilliant idea. It's part of the culture that's unexplored in the modern world. As brides to a whole new country, it presents different equation to the traditional path that marriages take in India.

Once a woman in India marries, then she's technically part of (or joins) her husband's family. She can still keep (some) contact with her biological family but traditionally she moves in with the husband's family regardless.

Entertaining. The only problem is that Geeta provides all this commentary from behind the camera, but is never seen. It just comes off as being insecure about her appearance

But as an Indian this sounds like an incredibly stupid assumptions considering the fact that India is home to the largest film industry in the world - 'Bollywood'. And that's just one film industry. Almost every single state in India has its own film industry.
