With Steve Jobs, he took over the reigns on someone else's project for the first time and may have taken it to heights that no one else would have. He talks to David Poland about the whole shebang.

From what I'm heard it should be titled *_Aaron Sorkin's Faux Steve Jobs_*. Danny Boyle says that it is a successor to *_The Social Network_*. Danny says there should be a third movie but I hope not because, as an engineer who has lived through all of this, these moves do a disservices to the people involved. Hollywood hates Silicon Valley and it shows in these movies. They have distorted the facts and the nuance as to cut the heart out of the people they pretend to represent. They can make any movie they want, just make up the names of the characters just like they made up the stories. These stories have little to do with the real people. *_Halt and Catch Fire_* comes closer to my experience in start-ups and tech companies large and small for these past 35 years. Even the series *_Silicon Valley_*, while a farce, catches more of the nerd sensibility.

Steve Jobs was based on the book of the same name by Walter Isaacson. Isaacson interviewed Jobs and his contemporaries extensively for the book, so it informs the film with some authenticity. Jobs was an absolutely absurd person who did great things. The film addresses that and that his cold and stubborn personality was a lot to take -- and often detrimental to his personal and business relationships.

@@brettgreene9492 Thanks for responding to my comment. I'm kind of surprised how long these comments linger in the webasphere. I admit i hold a grudge against Apple. I had several bad experiences with the company. One I worked for entered a business relationship with Apple while Jobs was away. When he returned, Apple pulled the rug out from under us resulting in the loss of millions. Perhaps Sorkin will write a story about Elon Musk. There is a brilliant, determined and somewhat demented man doing amazing things while also doing crazy stuff at the same time.

@@nectarinedreams7208 Thanks for the feedback. I'm surprised that *I* have lasted this long. Not a fan of Elon Musk. I think something in his brilliance makes him bat-shit crazy. Same with Steve Jobs. I used Apple computers for about ten years, mostly for video editing. They worked great until they didn't. It's a long story about how much I don't like Jobs and the company he created. I still use Windows 10 but may switch to some version of Linux. Most of my program coding was on a version of Unix.
