DP Pierre de Villiers on shooting "Goodbye Julia" with ALEXA Mini LF and ARRI Rental DNA lenses

Directed by Mohamed Kordofani, the Sudanese film „Goodbye Julia“ was shot in Khartoum in 2022, premiered in Cannes 2023 at Un Certain Regard where it was awarded with the Freedom Award.
Cinematographer Pierre de Villiers SASC speaks about his experience working in Sudan and his choice for the ALEXA Mini LF and the ARRI Rental DNA lenses.
“Goodbye Julia” is Sudan’s Oscar entry and produced by Station Films in co-production with Red Star Films, Die Gesellschaft DGS, Klozium Studios, Dolce Vita Films, Cinewaves Films, Ambient Light , CULT, Red Sea Festival Foundation, MAD Solutions and CANAL+ International.
The film was selected by ARRI’s International Support Program.
