A rare actor in that he doesn't mind being unattractive for the betterment of his character, when you think about it there aren't many people like that. I like it when you include the ending when you say thanks, otherwise, great interview and a nice bounceback from the impenetrable Tommy Lee Jones, Spall is much more generous.

A true gentleman. The real heroes of the movie business are people like Mr Spall who can outact any starlet in his sleep and is a true craftsman. Never seen anything bad or off note from this gentleman.

I was never aware of Timothy Spall till I saw him in Patrice Chereau's "Intimacy" and I was floored by the honesty -- if that's the word -- of his performance. Wonderful interview.
