Hearing her talk about how she develops her character's history to understand the motivations and better deliver the lines was really interesting

Just a quick thanks, again, for all your great interviews, David. These past few weeks have been amazing! - This Margot Robbie interview is one of the really good ones. I really like the honest and open way she talks about process.

Love hearing my pretty much my exact accent/voice tone from her. A lot of Aussie actors lose their accents but she hasn't! Aussies/brits were introduced to her TEN YEARS AGO on neighbors. I really respect Margot for everything she is doing, especially the behind the scenes production side. GO YOU GOOD THING!

Great interview, and I have always agreed in that I can't believe how young she is. She gives the impression that she is older, but in all of the positive ways, and none of the negative.
@Mark-Smeaton2 жыл бұрын
Agreed. She reminds me a lot of Elizabeth Taylor in that regard. Elizabeth was only 17 when she first married but in her wedding pics you could easily mistake her for 23-25. They're both strikingly beautiful and there's a curious sophistication about their physicality. When I, Tonya came out, a lot of people flatly didn't believe how young Margot was and wrote her rude comments on social media like, "22? You're a soft 35." Finally she responded, saying, "Don't you know how completely impossible it would be to publicly lie about my age? What with FB, so many people who've known me my whole life could expose me if I was lying!"

This is a terrible interview & it's not her fault. He keeps it shallow when there's so much to ask about her relationship with Tonya Harding and how she tapped into making her a human we can sympathize with (very hard to do, which she does). This interview stays on the surface and doesn't ask anything interesting... Unfortunate. Margot Robbie is truly great.

Watching this as someone who is/used to be her fan, I wonder at times if it is just growing confidence or utter arrogance she is displaying. I cant decide. 10 years in the industry is not much, mostly when during the 10 years she didn't experience ANY difficulties or hardship in terms of life experience. I wonder what she can bring to the table with other 40-50 yr olds sitting around. Im not sure even I would take her seriously.
@salamanderjones70647 жыл бұрын
go see I, Tonya. You'll understand why she has a right to have some confidence in herself as a professional.
@beckeyg.9917 жыл бұрын
You think she hasn't experienced any difficulties or hardship in her life? And you know this because you're bff's, or what? What does that have to do with anything anyway? Steven Spielberg was around her age when he first made his big hits with Duel, Sugarland Express, and then Jaws. My point is talent can come at any age or experience. All the awards and accolades she is receiving for I, Tonya prove she is not just a pretty face. So maybe give her some slack.
@AJ-cq5pw7 жыл бұрын
So annoying how people can't stand a confident woman. People want women to be insecure and not sure of themselves. When they're confident in who they are some how they're conceited or arrogant. I think I, Tonya definitely proved that she is an amazing actress. Being pretty or "hot" doesn't dismiss you as a good actor or actress. Yes there are many actors who only get roles for being pretty but after hearing how hard she worked for this role and whatnot I'm pretty positive that's why she wanted to tackle this role because she wanted to show people that she can be taken seriously. And to say when she gets older people won't take her seriously is just sexist and a constant stigma that women are only pretty when they're young.
