Absolutely superb. I shall be using this amazing program on our new Amiga game, Scourge of the Underkind. This will speed up my workflow enormously! Thank you so much for creating this! (also, are you the same guy who made Retro Image Tool online? Apologies if not) :D :D AMIIIGAAAAAAAAAA!

Hey! Amazing game, Scourge of the Underkind. Actually 2 weeks ago I received the full A1200.net Scourge of the Underkind boxed package with the Amiga 500 case and the vinyl record etc, so you work is actually right in my work space at arms length :-)

@@Steffest Amazing!! That is so cool man! You have no idea how happy this makes me :) I love what you have done with this program, I showed a mate who is crazy about icons for amiga and he was just about as happy as can be! Outstanding work. :D (P.S, the game will be ready soon...we're just finishing off some areas and finalising...we just need to make sure it's the best it can be!) :D

This is incredible work. I'm just starting to delve into 68K asm coding on Amiga. Using modern tools like the VScode amiga assembly extension I can do all dev/assembly work on a PC and launch in an emulator, which is much better and way faster than using the traditional Amiga apps in the emulator. Having a modern DPaint compatible app alongside that can import modern image formats and export IFF/ILBM will really add to and enhance that workflow. Kudos!

I remember the original DPaint being able to do a flood fill with dithering between not just 2 colours but you could configure a whole range of colours from your 64 colour palette for it to dither between. That was just one of quite a few different fill modes and there were different drawing modes in general. I forget what they all did but I remember using "Matte", "Brush" and the default "Color" modes a lot, particularly when following the tutorials, and EHB mode was another one that was simple to understand because it just replaced each colour with its equivalent shadow or non-shadow colour, but as a kid the other modes went a bit over my head.

Great stuff, thanks very much for developing this program. I'm hoping to use it for drawing game sprites.

This is fantastic 👏🏼. Delux paint was the first software for me both pixel drawing and animation. I did hundreds of animation with Delux paint. So i need to ask, sorry 🫣, will animation feature come in to future too?
@Steffest8 ай бұрын
Yes, 100% sure, animation support will be included. In fact - the .anim file format is already supported for reading, but not for writing yet. An animation (like an .anim or an animated GIF) is currently "just mapped to different frames" and there are no playback controls yet, but at least it's a hint that animation support is being worked on. Main focus of the next release is to get the color cycling exactly right, animation will be next.

Does it support drawing tablets?

Could you also do a set of extra options for Atari ST (.PI1) for example ? Great editor btw, you alsmost race through all the options to fast :)

In fact: since my Amiga collection is more or less complete, I bought my first Atari 2 months ago. Also a nice machine. So yes; it's probably that one day I'll expand DPaint.js to support Atari formats (After all, Deluxe Paint made the same jump 23 years ago :-) )

Does it have symmetry option?
@Steffest Жыл бұрын
Not at the moment, and I'm not sure to add it. Today, you would duplicate the layer and flip it, which is far more flexible IMHO.
