Thanks for the question; The order of components in the exhaust system typically follows this sequence: 1. Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF): The DPF is placed first in the exhaust system. It captures and stores particulate matter (soot) from the exhaust gases. 2. Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR): After the DPF, the exhaust gases pass through the SCR system. This system reduces nitrogen oxides (NOx) by injecting a urea solution (DEF - Diesel Exhaust Fluid) into the exhaust stream. 3. Muffler: The muffler comes last. It reduces the noise of the exhaust gases before they exit the vehicle. This arrangement ensures that particulate matter is filtered, NOx is reduced, and noise is minimized before the exhaust is released.
