ye exactly, some Lazy shites out there man ! i remember when at college that 1 student said he would look forward to the day that automation of repairs became as easy as pressing a few buttons on a machine or remote control,then another student quipped ' i would like another machine or remote to press the button for me !!' 🤔

Absolutely this!!! Do these selfish people realise the impact it has when a mechanic is busy working and his phone rings? Or that a mechanic, even as good as Jimmy, would find it difficult to diagnose something over the phone? Let the guy get on with his job FFS !

Nice little video with some really helpful info, thanks for that, and folks this fella's primary concern is to make a living, time is money and we shouldn't abuse someones generosity, especially someone who freely makes instructive videos, I'm no mechanic so I know what it's like to be stuck but 9 times out 10 a half hour spent googling can pay dividends and doesn't impact on someone's valuable time other than your own of course.

Hi Jimmy , again cant thank you enough ! hope people are being respectful of your living and free advice and not ringing you up ! After watching this video thought id let you know i built up the courage to take your advice and attempt DPF clean myself , identified the pre - dpf pipe using a manometer i bought - sprayed k2 cleaner in - let sit for 15 mins - idled for 15 mins - few high revs ( lots of smoke ) then took Hyundai ix35 for a 30 min spin, DPF pressure down , full power and no warning lights :) Job done and all thanks to your videos , thankyou mate really appreciate the time and help you give.

A big thanks to you Jimmy, following your great videos I cleared out the upstream turbo pipe and replaced the perished particulate filter hose on my Renault Scenic 1.5dci, faults cleared and runs great. Keep up the good work.

You're a good man mate. I get it all the time can you just plug this in and tell me the issue ? Etc etc. Then a price is given for me to do the job. And 9/10 times it ends up going to some local fitter repairing on his driveway.

Thanks very much for this video (and your time taken). I've been trying, and failed, to find the oxygen sensor on my 407 2.0 HDi (different layout from the 1.6 hdi) to inject the foam DPF cleaner and here you are saying that it's best to put in in through the differential pressure sensor! 🙂👍, which is quite accessible on my 2.0 HDi. Now I just need to figure out which of the two pipes it is, hopefully one is fatter than the other 🤞) Thanks again and I hope that you just simply put the phone down on these selfish freeloaders 😁👍

Jimmy's vids are an online course themselves... I already have a compressor, I've bought the dpf spraygun, launch fluid, laser vaporizer spanner and thread chaser, just waiting for a problem! Next is laptop for Forscan, or a scan tool?

Very good video help alot My Mercedes cls 350 keep going in limp mode with code 15DF00 The lower limit value of component b28/8 dpf pressure sensor has not been reached Dpf is clean I put new genuine sensor with teach in process But still throwing same code Highly appropriated if you suggest any other part I should check . Is the DFP cleaner fluid sprayed into the high pressure black sensor hose, can the plastic of the black hose become damaged by the spray? Is it harmful to spray the DPF cleaner into the low-pressure (after DPF) hose or will the car clean it out?

You ask for examples we'd like videos off. My example is very specific but can take 8 hrs in a workshop to remove replace a LPEGR cooler on a twin egr Ducato (2017-19) pre adblu. The cooler has a "tea strainer" at top end that blocks up before the DPF. It may be accessable via a flexible pipe behind the alternator. Have you had to do such a beast, or do you thinks its feasible? If this feasible i can see it being used as annual or biannual preventative method by those that have suffered.

On my van Mk7 transit 2012 I had someone do some jobs on it. A mate it wouldn’t start, he sorted it but ever since it has lost its turbo power struggles with hills etc, he couldn’t sort it but he put his snap on diagnosis on it and it showed I think a fault on dpf pressure valve sensor , would that cause that problem, also there is what looks like a small hose with a sensor or something just hanging about doing nothing so I thought maybe it’s something he hasn’t put back on when moving things but several people including myself are baffled to where it would go. Can’t see anywhere, could I send a email of it to u, maybe u could rule it out or know where it goes. Also to start the van you have to spin it over about 3-4 times before it starts up. Obviously it runs and drives but it’s a nightmare with no power for hills and stuff. Thanks

Good informative video this. Thanks. Has anyone reading this got any knowledge of why my car would be going through dpf sensors fairly regularly? I did it first about 12 months ago, and then again about 6 months ago and it's just gone again. I'm guessing it's too much pressure and has damaged the sensor? But how would that happen? The dpf isn't blocked and my reader shows a very low soot content so I'm unsure why the sensor keeps going. If anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

x250 Ducatos had a reputation for killing DPF sensors with condensation in the lines, this went away with X290s and the sensor repositioned. Next time blow out the lines in case of water ingress/ condensation

After watching some of your videos it seems not all the EXHAUST PRESSURE SENSORs are faulty when they bring up an error so what % of time would you say it is a pipe problem ( blocked or split)

Popular KZbin authors, like Eric at SouthMainAuto, have experienced a serious problem with people from all over the country asking for free advice. He had to set up an answering machine with the message to go away if you're a KZbin viewer, which leaves a bad taste but is necessary at a working shop. I never understood how some people can be so asinine as to call for free advice, but in the end that's the way it works. You need to put your foot down early and let everybody know of the reality. I'm guessing your channel is about to take off.

Wonder if you could help me out pal. Am completely lost. I bought a 2011 Passat 1.6 tdi cayb b7 and was smoking from dpf area after driving. On checking round the dpf I took off the sensor and checked the pipes. One goes to the dpf and 😮 the other pipe is disconnected and can’t see anything to connect it too. Couldn’t be seen until I got sensor and bracket off. Need to suss out where the hell it’s meant to connect too

Hello. I cleaned the particle filter in the kia ceed 1.6crdi from 2013 because it regenerated very often (30-50km). After cleaning, it continues to regenerate at 30-50km. I replaced the differential pressure sensor. No error appears on the diagnosis. I cleaned the intake, the egr valve, the egr gas cooler. If I remove the plug from the flow meter sensor, it goes into limp mode but the dpf doesn't load so fast anymore.What else do I need to check? Could it be a software problem?

Am I correct to think that if you have two hose and one is bigger bore than that other, that means bigger one would be before DPF (higher pressure) and the smaller hose will be after DPF (low pressure)?

Most DPF sensors have one tube larger diameter than the other. Which one is generally the pre DPF tube? Larger or small diameter?

I have this same car and the same problem but, I may have put the flush in the wrong pipe. It doesn't seem to have caused any issues, however. My obd reader is only showing and egr fault and after doing a flush I had no residue coming out the exhaust? I'm thinking I may have to change the egr instead unless I try flushing the other pipe ? 😅 Anyway obd says it's egr now I'm thinking I may have to just strip it is it a common problem? Egr fault? On the dash it's dpf! But obd says egr? Bloody honda 😂

Does anyone know where the dpf hose on jaguar xf 3.0l 2011 x250 model is had it cleaned a few times pain getting underneath and removing panels would like to try this way pumping cleaner into the hose if it's accessible under the bonnet

Citroen C4 Cactus here....my bloody pressure sensor is stuffed up above the exhaust, in a place with the least access. Can't get in to remove the pipes, so will have to go directly into the DPF. Heyho....

I had my 2010 idtec chemically cleaned, then the bloke plugged his stuff in and did a forced regen. This was about 2 years ago. All good. He was with me for most of the day and charged about 200. Best money ever spent. Try and find someone local to do the same. Honda wanted stupid money to replace the DPF 😂
