It was the first one I really played and my brother, cousins, and I played it to death, whether doing stupid stuff with the Action Replay or going nuts underground. Good times... We'd go to the city together with our games just to get a shot at Darkrai at the nearest GAME. it was a feeling of unity... Such a shame I don't have that feeling anymore... Diamond was a game that literally brought us all together.

I loved my teams, and I always had a Staraptor in them. Pearl was also where I encountered my first Shiny, but I didn't know what it was. It was a green wingull, and it looked weird, so I caught it.

Even though I'm old enough to say Pokemon Red and Blue were part of my early years of childhood, and I've played all 6 generations, I find that Diamond and Pearl are by far the most nostalgia inducing for me. They better remake it like they did with the previous 3 gens. I'd absolutely love that.

Being born at roughly the same time R/S/E came out [2003] means that Pokemon Pearl was my first properly played Pokemon game. This brings back so many memories of sitting there on my silver DS playing this, and the time I was so stupid I filled my team with Bidoofs and Starlys that weren't even trained to try and defeat Roark with a mob of pokemon XD so many good times with these games.

Platinum was the 1st Pokemon game I ever played. Although I had first beaten SoulSilver, I wouldn't return to Platinum until not even a year ago at the time of this comment. Ah, Canalave City. I used to plug my headphones and turn on Pokémon Pearl and fly to Canalave City just to listen to the music. Despite this piece's inevitable beauty, there is something else I like about this theme. What amuses me is that this song is so relaxing, then you go into the gym and meet Byron. The music of the city he lives in clashes with this personality so much I couldn't help noticing :P

I think Floaroma Town has the best understanding of its environment. The people all follow the nature-loving philosophy of "let's all go plant some flowers and thank the earth for the gifts it gives us", and being right next to the Valley Windworks, where they probably get most of their electricity from, and the Eterna Forest, where pokemon live almost completely undisturbed by humans, is a point in their favor.

I would say Sunyshore. It has this aura of confidence around it, it's always sunny there, Team Galactic hasn't touched it, and the Pokemon League is just up ahead. It is, in essence, the perfect city to live in, and that's what keeps its citizens upbeat. In other words, I like the Sinnoh region :P

I enjoy seeing that the games that once have been "The new super modern stuff" like Diamond and Pearl is now the stuff of Nostalgia for the newer generations... This truly shows how far Pokémon has gotten by far and how much of a great franchise it is... Justin Birth It really does.. Been alive for as of December 10th, 2014 twenty five years and I never tire of seeing how the Pokemon games have evolved like their many creatures~! I feel kinda sad the younger gamers never got the chance to grow with it like we have from it's GBC days.. But it makes me happy when they are given the chance to look back at the older games and appreciate them for what they were, even if they seem downright primal compared to the newer gens! On a side note, what was your first Pokemon? Mine was Bulbasaur (Damn my weakness for Grass Starters, lol)

Chante Teensie XD Well,... If I remember correctly it was a Cyndaquil... I was pretty much a noob back then but it was awesome to explore the world back then and become a Pokémon master... My brother was like this super experienced rival to me since he was around since blue, his first starter was a Squirtle and he was always just a tiny bit better than me ^^ and seemed to know EVERYTHING about Pokémon (Heck, he even mannaged to get the full Kanto Pokédex, including Mew, he showed me the glitch that can be used to get Mew)... I am not too active with the Pokémon games anymore, I own Pokémon Y but barely have enough time to play it (University and School, I am trying to become a Physicist and am already quite close to getting there) but well, it still gives me somewhat of a rush of nostalgia to play that game ^^.

I was very much a noob at first, and my late brother had little interest in it (in fact, he was the one to give me Blue because he found it boring and wanted someone else to train his Squirtle) But I adapted quickly and more or less became a Pokemon Professor (my bro's way of saying hella Poke'nerd), studying as much as possible about all the Pokemon and such. XD I got a bit obsessive with the breeding aspects when it was introduced in G/S/C and have been so ever since! I miss looking back at the older games, and thinking of those nostalgic days.. Oh! Oh, and I don't really have a competetive team anymore, I tried once EV training but it was boring to me... Do you have Skype? Because it would be easier to communicate over that at first instead of well, always speaking with each other over youtube ^^ (Old system was better but with the new KZbin system I always happen to loose track of people... either if it is because I am not used or if the "mailbox" system was better... I don't know).... And well, I like to make theories about Pokémon and try to think outside of the box... Just saying, I think Kyurem did exist before Arceus and evidence for that exists in the games ;)

Good question! In response I would have to say either littleroot or oldale town from Hoenn. Hoenn has always felt like a more isolated and undiscovered than any of the other regions, probably because it couldn't connect with the previous games and lacked any references to them, (Johto had kanto as an extra region, Sinnoh had pal park and top trainer cafe and Unova had the PWT).

Hm... Floaroma has been centered around meadows which contain Pokemon. Pacifidlog lives with water Pokemon in harmony. Fortree has trees that would obviously be the homes to Pokemon such as Kecleon. Lastly, I do not know if White Forest counts as a town since frankly, only a few districts exist.
