I'm sorry no shade for the ppl here commenting that the character Mito is an alter ego...its not! Mito exists only for the purpose of the mvs not in reality this is not how bipolar works. What Ian goes through its a fluctuations of 2 extremely different emotions but he does not become or thinks he is someone else in reality, he does not have triggers, blackouts and he does not dissociate. What he's trying to bring to life through that dark mutilated Frankenstain like character is not his alter ego its a state of emotion caused by his bipolar disorder. The whole album is about mental health and what he goes through struggling with those 2 extremes. There's so much research out there now please don't assume a trait of a disorder bc there's so much misunderstanding about mental health even in this day and age...
