I was trying to find parallels between “no blueberries” and “so beautiful” and this is what I’ve found do far, feel free to correct me: - the eye ring ofc - the leather jacket he’s wearing seems to be the same - I think this song is a continuation of Ian’s jouney in the last song where he’s leaving his house (?) where his gf is so he’s running from her - (more from the last one) in the end of “so beautiful” Ian grabs the gun that has almost sinked in the water but he takes it, and it appears here - I think the monster in this one is the representation of his gf in the last one bc he is running away from her - “so beautiful” is all in black and white so when in this so it switches to b/w I feel like he’s going back to what he felt like in that MV (toxic relationship/mentality)

So far, the timeline has got 3 MVs and maybe one more, but I'm still trying to connect it all. We have: - 5 STAR, introducing his "Bonnie and Clyde romance" with CL. They have problems, despite their beautiful connection. - So beautiful comes to show his vision of theses problems. I feel like he has anger problems and something may have happened that caused him and CL to go separate ways. - As we see, he hasnt gotten over her yet. - No blueberries comes to show how his anger and stress problems happen in his head. Everytime he is about to go for a crime, his mind collapses in stress and makes him see things (which may be a reason for him and CL breaking up. Maybe one of this situations he did hurt her... Or maybe she couldnt take it.... I dont know.). Maybe HWA is CL's vision or CL's syde of the story, as No blueberries is acting for Ian. I may be very wrong, but I dont care. This is fun

Is this about emotional trauma that one sustained from a relationship? And like Christian is trying to avoid dealing with his feelings and, or traumatic memories. The blueberries might be a stressor or a trigger for him. The way he has one eye blind (from so beautiful mv and a flash of that in this mv) means that he’s not fully aware (or fully open to accept that) of his messed up mental state. DPr live was supposed to help him(?) run away from his problems but he took him directly to it. And uh... maybe what’s happening in this mv is what’s going on inside dpr Ian’s head while he’s at the therapist? Like he’s currently (in real life) at the therapist office. His therapist brought up a detail (the blueberries) and that made his pleasant delusion(?) halted and changed. We can probably take the gun scene at the beginning in the bathroom as a sign of him getting ready to face whatever trauma he’s locked away (but ultimately will and has broken out into the forefront of his mind) (or preparing for his trip to the therapist.

Apparently Green symbolizes Mito, Red is Insanity and the blue transforms them. Blue then possibly is Blueberry mobster from this MV, when we see the blue eyes ot means transitioning, so if he is on his Mito persona he might turn into some other, maybe Hybrid, maybe Insanity... Hybrid we now know is Yellow (yellow eyes). The combination or additive mix of Red and Green gives Yellow, so Hybrid is the hybrid of Mito and Insanity. In the lyric here it means afraid of seeing which persona is Christian judging by the eye color!

This song saved my life! I fled from a toxic relationship with a narcissistic psychopath, everything the song says happened to me, the same toxic pattern that this narcissist did was always repeated, I couldn't get out of that relationship, I needed to flee, I suffered anxiety, emotional and psychological abuse and I listened to this song and I identified myself, in the end I realized the narcissistic process that was going on, that he was also cheating on me and in the end this song helped me run away without saying anything, I made him not have any way of contacting me again and if he had staying would have been worse, now two months after I fled, the end of this song that says when he showed his true identity and the rest fits me perfectly and today I listen to it again. My theory: "I need a rocket ship", him wanting to escape, refers to the astronaut sitting next to Ian and also to "Kiss Me+Neon". The astronaut is holding a jasmine flower, reffering to Live's "Jasmine". You can see that he is wearing the same clothes as Live later on and there are also jasmine flowers hanging from the back mirror in Live's car, so he is the astronaut. Ian hopes that the "rocket ship" will take him away, but it leads him straight to the place (or person) he wanted to escape from because it's all his past he can't escape from and should face. It's also a continuation to "So Beautiful", with the gun and the eye ring, where he takes the gun and decides to deal with his past, to kill it, but, as we see in this mv, he's unable to do it. The gun can be also the one from CL's "+5 STAR+", where Ian and CL were a couple. Also, he's asking about the eye colour and, since he hates blueberries, I assume that blue eyes remind him of a person he hates, probably the one he's running away from. Live is wearing sunglasses, so Ian can't see what colour are his eyes and he trusts him.

I love this! I’ve been straining my brain trying to put together the DPR universe before they reveal it. I didn’t notice the glasses thing, great catch! I also want to add a few theories I’m tossing around. First, I think this is just a version of the universe. Back in Neon in the end they went through all of Live’s solos and gave them colors. With the Jasmine in the diner with Live I assume that this is the Jasmine timeline. Also in Neon or Kiss me (sorry I lost my notes lol) a being that looks like the Blueberry monster is seen from behind with the same pocket watch swirling in the air. That’s why I assume time/dimensional travel. Second, I think Live and Ian may be the same person. This is a reach lol but they seem to exist separately but together. I saw Live in CL’s 5Star video in a party scene and when he appears in Blueberries it’s after Ian has taken his meds. Later when they are in the car together, Live doesn’t seem to respond to Ian when he’s trying to stop him from hitting the monster. This could be nothing, but I like the idea of a split personality Fight Club style 😊

Theory: the DPR Ian's character is suffering from schizophrenia. The demon in this MV, the character of DPR Live are both his hallucinations. Only the character of CL is real, she seems to be Ian's girlfriend. In particular, it appears to be that 'So Beautiful', '5 Star' by CL and this MV is a triology. The first MV is 'So Beautiful', it illustrates a full view of Ian sufferring his depression and his illness. I think the background is set in raining and water is also his hallucination, since they represent sadness, loneliness and being stucked or "no air to breath" as in the lyrics. In this MV, there's a glimse of CL, which is still his hallucination. He sees her as a reminder of being conscious but then cannot get over his own mad mind and imagines that she pushes him into the water instead of helping him. It's like he is out of control and then the image of her appears but cannot save him from his madness. The second MV is 'No Blueberries'. As we can see, the MV demonstrates the journey of him running away from his own demon or himself. We can notice that the outfit, even the necklace of the demon is the same to that of him in 'So Beautiful'. About the character of DPR Live, he appears and observes Ian from the start of the MV (the one's in coat with leopard patterns and wears spaceship helmet), he also waits for Ian to get in a car to escape from the demon (unreal), but then in the end of the MV, he is no longer around Ian in reality. If you guys ever watch "It's Okay, That's Love", you will spot this resemblance. In general, Live is a friend in hallucination of Ian. I claim that the end of the MV is reality because, first the colour (no any single shade of blue is included in this scene) which you guys all easily figure out, second is that everything basically remains the same except Ian (had wounds on his face, lost his cap + glassess + gun) and the color of ice cream (which in the beginning is in light purple like a blueberries flavor). So, based on this, I can understand that all actions of him when he's running away is real, that's why he lost his gun and caused injuries to himself, without realization. The last MV is '5 star' of CL. Since this MV is not directed by Ian so my assumptions about it may sound less convincing. What I can find in this MV is that, arguing scenes of the couple are way fewer than the happy being together ones. Also, unlike most of the MV about a good together couple, their quarrels are not too intense or highlighted. So in my opinion, CL is Ian's girlfriend who brings him positive vibes, joy and accompany with him to help him get over his illness. But still, in the end of the MV, there're some scenes where CL standing alone or looking really sad. Especially, in the one at the end, CL looks deeply sad and then her eyes goes up to sky and so does the view of viewers. I suppose that it hints they're no longer together, but I think it may also imply that Ian pass away, with his demon. I really love all the visuals and artworks of Ian (especially his style of them), that's why I feel such an urge to share my thoughts on theory about what he tries to deliver through his MVs. Hope that these works of both DPR Ian and DPR will receive what they truly deserve :x.

@@glodieee_ I'll try 😂 OK so basically Thuy Mai’s theory is that “So beautiful”, “No Blueberries”, and “5 star” by CL is a trilogy. “ So Beautiful” is about Ian suffering from depression and there’s a glimpse of CL who is a hallucination. He sees her a reminder of being conscious but get over his mad mind. In this music video Ian’s character is suffering from schizophrenia and the demon and DPR LIVE are hallucinations. So for most of this videos he’s running from his demons or himself. “5 Star” is just CL as Ian’s girlfriend who bring joy to him while helping through his illness.

@@Rahhh978 I've been a fan for a little over 3 years now, so I guess you could say it's been a little while yeah :') DPR is the name of the whole crew/label/collective/whatever you wanna call it and includes all the members!! Live has been the most well-known because he's kind of been the "front man" and has released the most music! And Ian has been mostly known for being the mastermind behind Live's MVs and stuff but as you can see, he's been releasing music lately! So, they're two different people but still belong to DPR. But the whole DPR crew is way bigger and they're all incredible people who value each other, their fans, and supporters a lot and they're all equally important to make DPR what it is. I really recommend checking out "COLOUR of DPR", it explains a bit more on DPR and the members!! 🥰

Ian in his ig live said something that is normal to everybody can be a big fear to someone and blueberries are the symbol of that. something silly that can trigger nervous attacks. Just throwing some wild theories. I think the monster figure is CL. If you notice the figure comes out around the time that CL sings. The figure also touches Ian’s face, which is reminiscent to their scene in So Beautiful. I think blue berries represents ignorance, like how the blue pill in the matrix is placebo, or delusion. I think it is something of commentary on Ian and CL’s relationship in 5 Star, like it’s not idyllic as it appears. My love is turning grey. My heart is looking the other way. Seems to pertain to the death of The relationship. In 5 star around the end, CL would look away past the scenery too. I want to think more about Ian’s second persona Mito. Mito means myth, so Mito is a figment of Ian’s mind possibly created to deal with a loss. I need to watch/listen to these songs more lol

How do these songs keep being so original and interesting. I think at this point I've watched all of Ian's videos, but there's always something new to see or interesting to hear in the background. They songs are full of different noises, while at the same time there's is a lot of almost silent time, which I really like.

The vocals for this song are mind-blowing! At first I didn't realize it was CL singing, her and Ian's voice really fit well together which brings me to his lovely vocals that are so entrancing. And then there's Live and I just couldn't look away when he began his part. Also, the aesthetics in this mv are great, I kept getting that retro vibe that for some reason made me think of Stranger Things and late 70s vibes.
