Thanks for spreading the love of holosmith, this cazy fun and versatile class ! The video is great, especially how you explain the rotation (much better than we can see elsewhere). Just one suggestion of improvement : talking briefly about some skills to swap to fit playstyles/bosses/learn the class. You mentioned very fast "non grenade skills" to swap to survival for instance. The grenade skill makes this spec of crazy high APS (action per second) during burst even higher so maybe suggest a swap for it like photon wall or rifle turret. For sure it's not gonna be optimal in a perfect rotation, but it might be more accessible to learning. Would also mention possibility of using elixir H or coolant blast if pugging/struggling to stay alive/not comfortable with AED. Other than that, really great :)

Holosmith is one of those elite specs that I wish I would spend more time to learn and get better at. Have any of the Holosmith changes affected how it plays in WvW or are your year-old roaming videos still up to date?

Quality of life changes to the tools traitline made Static Discharge Holo bearable to play. Now it's a much more survivable build with a lot of built-in condi cleanse. It sees a bit of play in PvP, but I'm not sure how it translates in WvW.

After the patch, power holosmith are the new DPS engineer in any strike missions and raids, still majority dunno about it & keep on playing rifle mech instead XD

So, i followed some other build years ago and built an ascended rifle, would that work aswell? I don't even have the crafting level for building a sword so I don't see me getting that any time soon. I'm getting back to the game now.

Sword is very strong, you're losing out on a lot of dps without it. An exotic sword (berserkers off the TP) would probably serve you better than an ascended rifle.

SnowCrow rotation shows only Grenade 2 into sword 2 and auto attack, they dont use all 3 nades in the rotation loop, why is that? It seems extremely spammy to have to constantly swap to grenade kit to only throw grenade 2 and then back to sword all the time

Snowcrows try to maximize damage as much as possible to hit that "40k" dps benchmark, but a lot of those builds and rotations are often very difficult to execute in real fights if you are actually trying to follow them without adapting to the fights... The explanation would probably be that freeze grenade does less damage damage than the sword auto attacks since sword autos get that 30% extra damage above 100% heat while your grenades don't, you only end up using shrapnel and poison grenades since they both have added condition damage from bleed and poison where freeze grenade is soft CC and not extra damage. I would honestly always use the 3 grenades, since while freeze grenade is technically doing less damage it still applies 6 seconds of freeze on the boss which is increasing power damage because of "Modified Ammunition" trait. (Now with that said, nobody uses flash grenade because this thing does almost zero damage where freeze at least does some damage)
