I don't have much footage from the Overwatch 2 Season 7 test server but I do have some games VS Sombra I feel people would be interested in. Overall VS Lucio she'll have a hard time if she misses her VIRUS Ability. Way more enjoyable to play against now.

I saw stylosa post a video and it had this match as background gameplay. I realized now terrifying you must be to go up agaisnt when you don’t hear this commentary or see the perspective but only see a Lucio kill 4 in the span of 20 seconds

Since I first saw the patch notes about sombra. I said she’s gonna be a lot better at spawn camping a squishy or support

Hopefully group spawns help with that. Sombra will be a lot more apprehensive engaging two people fresh out of spawn now that she doesn't have a guaranteed escape tool back to her team.

Sombra kinda sucks if there are hyper mobile characters on the enemy team because she relies on tp to leave a fight. Genji can save dash for your tp. Doom/Dva/Winston/Ball just jump after your tp. The fact that Lucio can even chase the Sombra tp is kinda funny. Hope they look into that ability more.

Genji can save his dash to catch a flying Mercy, grappling widow, fading Moira, sprinting soldier, blinking tracer, fluttering echo, etc. point is, Sombra has been made more akin to other characters, losing your get out of jail free card isn't the end of the world, as every other hero manages fine without it.

@@tonyshum5569except soldier has endless run, powerful self heal, good range, burst rocket that are way more forgiving than dot virus. He has a way to kinda brawl and be threatening. She doesn’t anymore. If she misses virus and you’re not Fitzy or Ruben you’re toast.

@@mosqapuccino forgiving you mean splash damage? sombra can hack health packs, she runs fast when invisible which lasts forever as well, sombra got a tightened spread which increases her range, missing the virus is no different then missing a direct rocket or someone leaping out of splash damage range.
