I respect the W playing, but if you are in GM you need to have better sense to fall back than this. There were 3 separate flanks during this game where he should have never went in. In-game, as a Top 500 player, from the point they leave spawn they probably already look questionable to their own team like Flats pointed out, first few deaths onwards you probably already know to not even bother trying to help them considering the skill level of everyone else in the game, at some point both teams just realized it really was a 4v5 game.

Unfortunately that's not how it works. I remember seeing an article or dev update saying how lemme see if I can pull it up In Overwatch 2, your MMR adjustment after every match is not impacted by your performance in each match (regardless of your skill tier). This is for a few reasons. We don't want players to be focused on doing things other than trying to focus on the objectives and win the match. Which is bullshit, because you get people in game who are obviously very boosted or shit like this guy and needs to have their rank nuked. You will very rarely get people who work together to hard focuses someone to knock them down a peg.

@@Katekyo504 that would create problems tho, if it worked like that when I realized I was getting a loss I would switch to a high burst dps character and find someone on the enemy team to farm to get a better result for my mmr, and I don't think I could be blamed for doing so. Depending on how it worked it could also lead to me healbotting on support, it would have to be a very good algoritm to assess performance in a way that wouldn't lead to players playing for themselves in a team game. Longer bit that you may not want to bother reading: It also could lead to some really unstable matchmaking, what if for instance I am diamond (I am not in reality I am high silver because I suck ass and can't think when I play) but lets imagine I am, and someone from silver has bought a diamond account, I am playing genji, the silver player is constantly out of position, so every fight I dash onto them, right click them in the head and dash out, I end the game with an extraordinary number of kills, and the game is like, this bitch is wayyy lower than she should be, she must have sank her mmr to bully people, and then it puts me in high masters and I end up throwing for a team through no fault of my own and having a really bad experience and ruining other's experience

It’s hard to tell if it’s ur fault or just team miscommunication. If I had 26 deaths I’d probably blame myself, but also I feel like after 16 deaths I’d probably just mentally shutdown and start auto pilot playing…
