Some excellent footage! One upshot of this freezing cold weather is the snow and frost on the ground complimenting the scenery nicely for photos and videos.

Ok I need to know other trainspotters secrets, how do you get a bunch of trains to honk??!?! none ever honk at me

I usually just wave and that's it, pot luck if you get tones or not

When was Blackford installed? I've seen a picture of the previous crossing from the late 60's/early 70's, but I think this might get upgraded this year, as I think these barriers date back to around 1982-1983.
