We all know they arent gonna put good cards into duel links, like engage or anchor, but their main stratagy was always wittle your opponent down while controling what they can or cant do, and you had to use links for it...

Deros 33000 Yeah, but at least most decks could easily use it. I think this archetype may be different because of the requirements of the spells. Since it wont be as generic as Invoked then people may be less willing to play it in everything. It'll probably be more like metalfoes were, people will try them in everything, only to find out that its use as an engine is rather limited, compared to how Invoked(and windwitch) are literally for everybody to abuse.

The playstyle is very refreshing and the link monsters have such an interesting marker. So far it seems that it’s more of a splashable engine like invoker but with more control approach. I bet Psy-Frame and Yosenju will love the “no monster in your main Monster Zone” requirement! Can’t wait to see how other ygo players use this archetype

The two "pop a card, then another one" are so you wouldn't have to dump spells to be able to destroy a specific threat like if they'd just had one or the other, and once you DO have 3 in the grave, the secondary pop doesn't target, which is nice.

I love this archetype if only for the reason it's the complete inverse of the meta and apparently is pretty powerful in casuals. Meta is all about tons of monsters and less focus on backrow action; while this is one monster and craptons of backrow action.

Invoked Brandish Maidens.... mmmm.... See there’s too many cons in my opinion. Cons: - Both need to have the normal summon to really go off so they conflict there sure you can ss Maiden but you need to normal summon her first. - Maiden is DARK, and her links are WATER and FIRE. The best Invoked you can make with this is Purgatrio which isn’t bad, but not always optimal. - Link monsters are UPWARDS diagonals. That’s a problem. - Both together are especially weak to Anti-Spell Fragrance and Special Summon stun decks.

In the case of Psyframes, quite simply, it wont work, psyframes requirement is if you control NO MONSTERS, so it wont blend well, and their syncros would at some point cock block the spell support of brandish maidens...it just...doesnt work. In the case of painters...same thing, it just wont work, painters heavily rely on there snow summon to function, and the branish maidens spells would not be able to go off intill you clear your own painters. I am finding Branish maidens dont really mix well with anything.

I'm not saying run the B-Maiden monsters (in the case of Psyframes), use the Spells and Traps as draw/search power + removal. As for Painters, I had to look again at their stuff. They have conditional removal from the field, so it might not be as simple to get them off so you can trigger the Brandish spells, and even Snowy, which is the most generic, locks you out from searches for the remainder of the turn. I think you're right with the assessment that they wouldn't work well with Brandish. Might need to tinker a bit more about what could work using Brandish (as an engine). Alternatively, what Brandish could USE is probably a bit better. They can probably use the Spellbook Engine pretty well. Contract w/ Don Thousand could be useful and could put a card on the field to pop w/ their field spell.

Seems like a cool archetype. The link materials kinda make me think we get more main deck monster in the future. But for now u could probably play it with some spirits like shinobird or stuff that foes back to hand at end of ur turn like yosenju. Or maybe a pure build with a bunch of stun traps?
