I mounted my cowl on my VG models P40 in the same maner. Used cap head bolts with a wide washer. For tool, i brought a cheap ball end allen key, chopped it in half and glued, with JB weld into a length of brass tube. Work's a treat. Edited for typos 😊

Nice ingenuity with the homemade tool! I'm sure the cowl looks so much better with the hidden mounting bolts.

@@BalsaAeroProjects and hopefully more structural, other than little wood screws though the side, vibrating the fiberglass and wearing the holes out.

With guide coat only need too dust it on

You're right but as mentioned in the video there was only a little left in the can so I emptied it.
