They're so many places in the Bible God blessed men because they gave to God: In Matthew 14:17-20, the boy gave to Jesus and went back with 12 basket full. In Luke 5:3-7 because peter lended Jesus his boat when Jesus asked, he identified with peter pain of a fruitless toil through out the night and blessed him with fishes. In Matthew 26:13 Jesus blessed the woman who anointed him with the alabaster oil, that her works will be remembered and preached till the end of time. In Luke 6:38, Jesus encouraged giving. In mark 12:41-44, Jesus taught his disciples through the widows offering at the temple, that God recognizes giving, and judges us on the heart we use to give, rather than how much we gave. In Acts 4:34-37 many in the church gave all they had, and in Acts 5, Ananias and Sapphire where killed by the Holy Ghost for lieing. This also counter Dr. Abel message on God does not kill. In 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 Paul made the church understand that God loves a cheerful giver and he that sow sparrowlly will reap sparrowlly, while he that sowed bountifully will reap bountifully. I can go on and on even to the old testament, showing that God has asked men to give and even blessed them for it, but hand they pain me to type. Good morning.

The Scriptures were written with one meaning all through. In no way was it written with intentions to mean different things. The same meaning it has when written is the same meaning that it carries today. The reason for different interpretations of a single text is because people have not done research to go back to the culture of the author, their way of life, the language they used and affected their understanding. Our world view is way different from their world view. So, it’s necessary to derive the true meaning by going back to their language, way of life, world view and culture to translate it to what can he understand in our day. Eg a verse says that God is long-suffering to us-ward. That does not mean God is boiling hot but tolerating what we are doing eg sins etc. No! Suffering as derived from the Greek means He is patiently persevering for believers and unbelievers to come to the truth.
