Dr. Brad Dosher is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon.
Born and raised in Amarillo, TX, Dr. Dosher graduated as valedictorian from River Road High School. With the goal of becoming an orthopedic surgeon, he then graduated summa cum laude with Honors, earning a degree in biology from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. Continuing his education in West Texas, he attended the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. Dr. Dosher completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the UT Health Science Center at Houston where he trained at one of the busiest trauma centers in the nation. While in Houston, he worked with the Houston Texans, Houston Astros, Houston Rockets, University of Houston athletics, and various high schools.
After residency, Dr. Dosher obtained further specialized training through a fellowship in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at the prestigious Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. During this fellowship, he learned advanced procedures in arthroscopic knee and shoulder, shoulder arthroplasty, and complex injuries to the shoulder and knee. Additionally, Dr. Dosher served as a team physician for the Nashville Predators National Hockey League team, Nashville SC Major League Soccer team, Nashville Sounds AAA baseball team, and Vanderbilt division I SEC athletics department.
After training, Dr. Dosher worked in Amarillo, TX, where he served as a team physician for West Texas A&M University athletics and Eastern New Mexico University athletics. Later, he relocated to South Carolina, where he played a key role in developing a new orthopedic department before returning home to Texas.
Inspired by his own experience undergoing ACL surgery for a sports-related injury, Dr. Dosher's journey to becoming an orthopedic surgeon drives his dedication to delivering personalized care to each of his patients. He is passionate about helping patients return to the activities they most enjoy. Dr. Dosher is excited to bring his specialized training and clinical experience to the Wichita Falls community, while providing patient-centered care, ensuring his patients understand their diagnosis and treatment options.
Specialization
Although specialty- trained in sports medicine and shoulder surgery, Dr. Dosher enjoys treating acute and chronic injuries in patients of all ages. He has extensive experience caring for athletes at all levels, from middle school to professional, as well as weekend warriors and everyone in between.
His specialization is arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, arthroscopic shoulder stabilization, complex open shoulder stabilization, arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACL), arthroscopic meniscal treatment, arthroscopic cartilage procedures, and shoulder arthroplasty. He also has extensive experience treating traumatic injuries and fractures in adult patients. Additionally, he performs common orthopedic procedures including knee and hip arthroplasty (joint replacement), carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger fingers, ganglion cysts, tennis elbow, and many other bone and joint ailments. Dr. Dosher has extensive experience utilizing the newest technologies in orthopedics, including robotic-assisted total knee replacements.
