Since 2006 I have been teaching people a seven week meditation program that starts in Ash Wednesday ending on Easter Sunday. The focus of the meditations is the seven petitions in Lord’s Prayer. We start from the last petition Deliver us from Evil. Using Scripture to find and focus on our deliverance. I have practiced meditation for many years and in my youth was able to meditate for hours in front of the blessed sacrament. It is important to understand that contemplative pray and meditative are very similar at the beginning. We start with the verbal prayer then move into contemplative prayer, the move into meditative prayer from the contemplative thought prayer is not always achieved in the first instance. Once you achieve the meditative prayer state you become fully aware of your own spiritual state and the presence of God. You feel euphoric, you feel no pain no sickness you enter into a different state of presence with God. St John of the Crossing his stanza explains it perfectly you can not be seen by the devil the Holy Spirit hides you from evil, you can not be touched by evil. So if one does this seven weeks meditation that I mentioned above. You find yourself meditating on God the Father in Heaven whose Name is Holy. What a wonderful way to prepare for Easter.

Brilliant! Tim and Brant - the Vatican should give you both an award for being outstanding apostles of the Church. I am immensely grateful for your work and having free access via KZbin. I have learnt so much in the past few months, having returned to the Catholic Church after a very long "missing in action" period. One thing that I realised was that I needed to get educated on the Catholic faith; my knowledge was poor. So for me, it could not just be a matter of doing (eg. going to Mass), but why? What teachings, knowledge underpin the Catholic faith. I soon realised that being a devout Catholic is a daily lifestyle and not being a Catholic by rote. Thank you again. God bless you both in your ministries.

we Catholics really need such kind of preaching the non-Catholics do, but Catholics way of reasoning, and of course keep on attending the Holy Eucharist’s as our highest form of devotion

Earlier this year I felt our BVMary was asking me to put together a set of reflections on the mysteries of Christ's life in the rosary. While doing so, I discovered your book on the Jewish Roots of Eucharist, a great help to my effort. I had helper put the: Messianic Rosary Reflections--and responses of the faithful, on Twitter. I would like to hear if you have comments on what I put together. Love your book, thanks.

Jesus the vine we the branches - allow Holy Spirit to lead us in the way we are should go-total submission-and surrender. Allowing intimacy of Abba to steep into us His Word and His Spirit. His Word is living and active and transforming if we allow Him to do so. Yielding , longing and passionate to our LORD and our GOD. Love what you are saying. To be a true disciple one become so close to the Master [Jesus] that one is transformed as He 'is'.

Alms giving ( or giving to the poor, which is not Tithing or giving to God) Atones for Sin. Amen to the importance of the Word of God. Psalm 119 reveals to us the importance of the word of God and it's effects on our life.

There is enough to contemplate or meditate upon, in the Gospels alone, to take three lifetimes to grasp. Yes, we should read and study the entirety of the Holy Scriptures (although my hat goes off to biblical scholars, as some of then Old Testament is so hard to focus on, or to see what God is trying to tell us)🤷🏻 . However, one would never “master” every aspect of the two Testaments, in one lifetime. If I had to choose any part of the Bible to focus on. Better yet, if I could only have a part of the Bible to read for the rest of my time. It would be the four gospels. Especially the first four chapters of John. What a spiritual masterpiece of writing! No, that does not mean the rest is drivel. I just connect with certain books or sections of scripture more than others.

The answer is to fear God and obey His Commandments found in Ecclesiastes. The catholic church teaches neither. They display idolatry in their churches and homes in violation of Exodus 20: 4-5. Make no image of anything in heaven or on the earth or under the earth.

The best way to grow closer to God? Stop Mary worship, stop praying the rosary and get rid of the hocus pocus mass.
@marcokite2 жыл бұрын
may God the Blessed Trinity forgive you and open your eyes (like mine opened, I was protestant once!) 1/ Catholics NEVER NEVER NEVER 'worship' the All Holy & Immaculate Virgin Mary. you muddle (as I did in my ignorance) 'worship' on the one hand and love/veneration/respect on the other. We can never love Mary Immaculate as much as Christ loves His Holy Mother 2/ the Most Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary is to meditate on the Incarnation, Passion and Triumph of Christ, it is to pray the Our Father and to praise the Trinity and to ask the Holy Mother of God to pray for us. we should do this daily 3/ the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass was established by Christ and was offered by the Church from the earliest years of the Church, for 2,000 years in other words, don't blaspheme the Holy Mass - - **Ave Maria!!!** - may the Queen of the Rosary pray for us -
@rbnmnt33412 жыл бұрын
@@marcokite youii deeper than most. Having been enlightened and gone from the truth. Read Hebrews 6:4-6. You should know that Mary of the Catholic church is not the Mary of the gospel. You should know scripture gives Mary NO special powers or names. Mary is not worshipped? Catholics all deny it but you need not look any farther than the prayers and songs directed at Mary. As far back as 1870, bishop strossmeyer said "we have made a goddess of the virgin Mary". Cardinal spellman of New York said "oh Mary, gate of heaven, none shall enter in except through thee". What does Acts 4:12 say? We can be saved by no other name. Pope Leo, "no one can go to the Father except through the Son, and no one can get to the Son except through Mary". Doesn't Jesus say "I am the way "? You should know better. There is nowhere in scripture that even remotely says Mary is the way or that she saves. Yet the church pushes that lie. So much so that her biggest supporter, pope John Paul II cried out to her when he was shot. "Mary save me, Mary save me". Not from the supposed first pope peter, Jesus never said the way to him was through his mother. He never said pray to his mother. Quite the contrary, he said pray to the Father. You should know scripture does not teach the immaculate conception, the perpetual virginity, the assumption, the rosary. ALL those things are inventions of the church that developed long after Christ. Things which can not be substantiated in scripture. Like the Hocus pocus eucharist.
