I was sadly diagnosed with TC in September of 2021. It came back in February, and again in October the following year. I met Dr Cary for my RPLND November of 2022. This man is the closest thing I have ever found or seen to a saint. He is a wonderful human being. He took the time to sit with me and go over 100% of everything I needed or wanted. My appointment was just before a surgery & he didn’t make me feel rushed in the slightest. He did a wonderful job for my surgery, and when he met with me to give me the good results post op he sat with me as I ugly cried all my pent up feelings to make sure I was okay. Thank you so much Dr Cary. You have given me so much hope in this fight.

After my rplnd in recovery I had excruciating lower back pain on the left side. This was level ten pain in lasted for months. I was discharged from the hospital with a bottle of five hundred percodan pills.(they didn’t help). Apparently the surgeon cut the nerves supplying the muscles on my lower left side of my back and these muscles were dying. An MRI showed my left para spinal muscles are fatty replaced. The pain I experienced was this group of muscles dying. Has anyone else had this happen?

I had my surgery at Hopkins with Dr. Pierorazio and had the fat restricted diet. Honestly, it was not the worst thing in the world, and I lost a boat load of weight which was nice lol.
