Dr. DeSilva, so good to see you teaching here. You taught my New Testament class at Ashland Theological over 20 years ago. To fail to understand the culture of the ANE is to fail to understand the Bible. I learned things in your class that I am just now beginning to understand. Fortunately, many scholars today are teaching the value of understanding ANE Culture in order to understand the Holy Scriptures.
