I don't understand how Dr. Dog isn't the biggest rock band in the world....?

I didn't get turned on to them until Fate, so I love these live versions of the earlier songs. They're really amazing, and so genuinely and organically into the music, you can't stop them from changing and growing. I love EasyBeat, could be my fave, but I can put on B-Room and love every bit of that, and every one in between. All their music is for real, I don't think they've missed yet or ever will.

I love when they pull up to the house, and the first thing said is “can I use your bathroom “ . Ah, the early days of touring in the van!

Easy Beat and WAB are also my favorite albums by them but I don't think the newer ones are bad at all either. I like the way that they are evolving as a band while still retaining their artistic integrity, which is more than I can say for some of my other favorite bands who changed their sound (Black Keys' El Camino is awful compared to any of their earlier releases, such as The Big Come Up and Thickfreakness).

I miss their old drummer. So simple

Sorry, I gotta side with the magnificent Eric slick for this one.

Muskokan I dig Eric too for sure and would definitely argue that he is a better drummer. I just think arrangement wise the simpler drums left more room for the voices/other instruments to shine and Eric’s drumming ability changed the way they composed new music for the band as well. No shade to Eric he is a phenomenal musician.

Muskokan I also think Eric plays in a way the band wanted to move to musically but it’s just my unsolicited opinion as a huge fan of their early records that were a little more folky and less rocky.

I know this video is old and all but no one wants to point out that Justin switched to bass and Juan (The host) is playing the drums for Die, Die, Die ? lol
