I sang this song to a puppy that we had to rush to the emergency vet after being internally injured. We knew she wouldn't make it, so I named her Sophie right then, and sang this song to her, so she would know she was loved. And she always will be. For that brief moment we had her in our lives, she has forever changed mine. Those eyes...so wise...

@@BegoneJonah I don't think there's anything sexual in this song and it's wrong to read that into it. Now as for something else from the same year- give a listen to Kaa the snake singing 'Trust in Me' to little Mowgli in 'Jungle Book'. (Same actors who voiced Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin.) Not overt but definitely under the surface. Wonder if it was a conscious choice on the actor's part.

Maybe the best romantic song ever ...and it was sung to a seal ...by Harrison, a man who couldn't sing and usually had to "talk-sing" through his performances. Still, his odd presentation may be the best. Although Diana Krall's version is brilliant ... if you like great musicians with wonderful voices.

Great song. I still have my LP from when I was a kid. May I ask... can you please upload the Overture which plays before the opening titles? I have found the opening titles, intermission and exit music, and all I need now is the Overture. None of those were ever added to the CD soundtrack. Thank you for these uploads, they're great.

Here is a translation of Irith's comment: I loved this song from the first moment I heard it about 30 years ago. I heard it one time at the movies and remembered it to this day.
