My favorite moment of Doom is when he's talking about his people because to me it makes him so much more of a badass just the way he talks about it. You think it's my people didn't like me they couldn't tear down these walls and kill me they could but they don't because they know that I keep them safe. And it was such a humanizing moment for Doom and I love it.

One standout moment from me from Secret Wars from the 80's. Doom had the power of Galactus and had the adamantium balls to stand up to the Beyonder and go ham on him solo. And then he lost, mortally wounded. But the Beyonder's curiosity got the better of him, since Doom put up a good enough fight enough to pique the cosmic entity's interest and start DISSECTING HIM. At this point, Doom's regained consciousness and, through sheer force of will, was able to absorb the power of the Beyonder himself. And what's the first thing he does with it? Use it to cure Ben Grimm of his rock form to declare his superiority to Reed Richards, who'd spent YEARS trying to do that very thing.

That moment when the panther god had to acknowledged him despite him being evil is hilarious. Dr doom really is a frustrating character for the super hero community mostly because doom will pull up on you no matter your position or power level in the hero community. Like you don't necessarily even have to scale to him like thor or strange and the fantastic four but he will still pull up on your butt. Like he has pulled up on people like spiderman and Wolverine just to beef with them. Like fighting someone like spiderman doesn't even give doom a advantage or brings him closer to world dominion but he does it anyway just to beef and flex on him. If you're a marvel superhero your going to have to fight doom whether you like it or not and your just going to have to take him talking crap and flexing. The fact that he has fought almost every popular superhero in marvel that matters is flex in of itself. I will also say surviving doom and his country and leaving alive is a good feat for any superhero. Basically fighting doom and surviving even a little i will consider a good right of passage for any superhero in the marvel universe

a Doom written at his best is one of the scariest preppers and overall threats in all comics, the iceberg you can get into for absurd, OP, & boss Doom moments is a treat. Dooms ability to adapt on the spot is beast, when he freaking spawned on the OG battle world the first thing he did off rip was hack and control Ultron, then proceeded to beef with Galactus, in order to beef with Pre-Ret Beyonder. His will power is so dummy he would be the GOAT of green lanterns.

To put the Namor thing into perspective. The illuminate had to start destroying alternate planets in order for theirs to survive. But Reed didn't have the stomach to do so, but Namor did. So Namor hired Thanos and his crew to destroy said planet, but of course this plan backfires. So when Thanos started destroying planets indiscriminately, and Namor couldn't control Thanos and the crew, he comes crawling to Doom. So of course he had to tell him about himself.

At least MCU Thanos gave an actual understandable reason to what’s he doing(of course when you actually think about it both Thanos’s plans were extremely stupid in hindsight). I’m truly hoping you’re not trying to say that him killing half the universe just to fuck death is good writing. Comic Infinity War Thanos was a character written with horrible motivations. The mega intellects like Doom, Batman, Constantine, Thanos always make any battle/story personally intriguing do to their unpredictable nature of how smart they'll be written, it's never at all crazy or surprising when they beat threats that at first glance may seem "to much". Ive always wondered who is the OVERALL smarter or has the more knowledge/is more cunning between Doom and Thanos when both written at their best.(Considering both have vast cosmic/technological/mysyical knowledge)

I'd give it to Doom based on the fact that he was the only one to figure out how to beat the Beyonders and stop the end of the multiverse. Doom just has more instances of being THE big bad than Thanos, also being the one who is capable of beating opponents way out of his league even without substantial prep. Beating both Galactus and the Beyonder in the same stretch is one of the greatest feats any mortal comic character could hope to achieve and was done with pure intellect and cunning.

Fun Fact - Dr. Doom is not a doctor. He dropped out of university after the accident, meaning he never passed his doctorate. This is totally irrelevant though as there is absolutely nothing any teacher or professor knows that Doom didn't know already, as he said himself. When Doom speaks about himself, he rarely if ever calls himself "Dr. Doom", preferring to refer to himself simply as "Doom". Doom is also above seeking praise and considers titles to be petty, boastful peacocking. Being the sole, undisputed and unopposed tyrannical ruler of a nation, one would think there would be a title involved. President, Prime-Minister or Chairman kind of thing. Nope, that's not Doom's way. BONUS FACT - 99% of the time, if Doom shows up outside of Latveria, he sent a Doombot instead and he is sitting in his throne room, drinking latte watching it on a giant monitor.
