Very nice speech! …..When he mentioned family and friends, I was hoping for a quick glance of a guy in the audience who kind of looked like him , with tattoos, wearing a Texaco Mike t- shirt.. Well, it was a special occasion!….Maybe next time! 😂🎓

To make fun of “your kind,” I was walking out from the hospital the other morning and I see a vehicle roll up into the physician parking lot. Out came an older gentleman in a white coat well past his knees and on his face was a pair of protective glasses that one would use after having their eyes dilated. They were blacked out in all directions, and sure as hell across his left chest in embroidered black script said “Radiology.” I died laughing the whole way to my car. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 (I can’t really talk though because as soon as I see the sun, I cringe.) 🫀 😂

I graduated from med school in 1979, family medicine residency in 1982, and I retired in 2019. This address excited me , inspired me, and brought back so many memories of the most heart wrenching, heart aching, and also the most wonderful days of my life as a family doctor. My fellow residents were like family to me, but like Dr. G, if it weren't for my wife, I would have never made it (literally for Dr. G.) She's my best friend and my rock to this very day 55 years after I first asked her out on a date and 49 years after our marriage. I always say "When we were in med school," and "When we were in residency."

I don’t know what it takes to fix the medical care system. I’m a patient. I had one doctor who refused to do a peer to peer, even though they ordered a CT. I had another doctor who fought tooth and nail to get insurance to cover my CT which detected cancer. I don’t know which one did the right thing to reform medical care, but I know which one saved my life. I’m sorry you all are graduating into this system, but I’m grateful for good doctors.

what a wonderful commencement speech - one of the best ever. it was real, it was as humorous as you are., and it was very important and heartfelt. You are an incredible man. and so are your colleagues. most of you do your very best. Thank you so much for talking out about the so-called insurance we get. in 5 months or so , on my third company (i’m 78), i’ve already run into 3! problems, two of which are important. it seems it’s not you , the doctors who are in charge of our treatments, but the insurance companies - like duh! 🙄 i am so glad to hear of all that’s been accomplished so far - and you are so very optimistic about it (hope the dentists are involved, too :) i am also glad you are okay now. it was quite a shock to find out all that happened to you. Have a great summer and thanks much from the heart . love your vids 😋🧬🌷🌱
