I used to think this whole "flat earth" thing is just one of those Internet jokes where trolls are pretending that earth is flat, you would think this joke is only staying on Internet. Until I came to know that there are people out there who actually believe that earth is flat and conduct conferences for it from time to time. What's worse is these people even bring their children into these places and brainwashing their mind since childhood.

Being educated by an institution where the government ultimately controls text books can teach any story they want. The difference between the scientists in this video and the flat Earth researchers are the flat Earth group is doing hands on experiments with results that don't follow the scientist definitions. You can see things in the distance that you shouldn't while the scientists keep steadfast to the "facts" they believe to be true without the open mind to truly consider anything different. Science changes all the time with new proofs that replace old truths so why is it so beyond the realm of possibility that the truth of a globe can't be replaced by the proof of a flat one?

Lmao the “evidence” “When i stand on a tower i can see 60 miles away, so obviously earth is flat” I have lost hope in humanity
@SpiritHawk73 жыл бұрын
The perspective argument only works until flat earthers say it doesn't anymore. On a boat at sea level, you can roughly see 7-10 miles out on a level unobstructed horizon. Your example of a tower says 60 miles. But what about if you get even higher, such as an airplane at 30,000 ft? It's possible to see curvature then. And higher than that? Sub-orbital space, orbital space (space station), and geosynchronous space (satellites). By then an astronaut can definitely see the entire shape of the planet and travel around it, yet now those people are liars? Reminds me of the cave situation from philosophy class. Ignorance kills.
@MohitSharma_calc3 жыл бұрын
@@SpiritHawk7 moreover the woman in this video said she “jumped from airplanes” that means she could see the curvature, I don’t know why she never related the experience.
@PeanutBreathing3 жыл бұрын
Don't let these people fly. They just might explode when they see the curvature in the horizon.
@Michael_the_Servant3 жыл бұрын
@@PeanutBreathing , I have been in the cockpit of Military Aircraft approaching 50,000 ft, you do not see a curve like that of sitting at a window in a commercial aircraft at much lower aircraft. We need undistorted vision to properly spot aircraft, vessels, or other things. I’m not saying that the earth is flat, just that your statement is incorrect. I’ve been flying for close to 40 years and it is the commercial aircraft windows that were redesigned in the mid-late 1980’s for safety reasons that induce a convex image propagation through them. Additionally, light propagation transitions towards the densest medium, thus all light bends towards the earth causing a slight curvature effect on its own, because air is usually most dense near the ground. This is how fiber optics function as the core of fiber optic cable is the most dense, making the light always bend towards the center of the cable and traveling to the end of the cable. The individual who mentioned looking from New York to Chicago was absolutely wrong. On a globe or flat earth model you could not see that far due to wave propagation. This is the problem, they got a bunch of individuals from both sides who are arguing the idea, not the science. You can prove the globe without going to space, but it requires seismological equipment, visual observations will read erroneous results, and can not be used for the argument.

Something I've noticed is that if you show an experiment that "proves" the earth is flat to a scientist, they'll (at least so their best to) debunk it. You show an experiment that proves the earth is round to a flat earther, and they'll just deny and ignore it.
@fluffylittlebear12 күн бұрын
Can you give me an example? Because I've been interested in this topic for several years now. And I've never found anything - ANYTHING - that disproves the flat Earth model.
@konrad810812 күн бұрын
@@fluffylittlebearjust to give you some proof, ill number some experimebts that prove that the esrth is not flat. First of all Look at flight paths. A flight from europe to the US is roughly as long as a flight from australia to south africa. On your flat earth map, the distances are not even remotley close so how do you ecplain that?
@konrad810812 күн бұрын
@@fluffylittlebearsecond of all how about big pendulums. If you set up a huge pendulum (for example there is one in the "deutsche Museum" in Munich, Germany) and you just look at ity throughout the day, it will change its direction to go around 360°, therefore proving that the earth completes a full rotation around itself everyday. If you have another explanation that works hand in hand with your flat earth theory, please enlighten me.
@konrad810812 күн бұрын
@@fluffylittlebearand finally, how do you explain solar eclipses? The neutral, observed PROOF (Not theory) is, that the moon ,which is also a sphere, orbits around the round earth and then if its placed correctly, moves between (the round) sun and the earth and therefore blocks out any light.

It’s because they’ve heard all this globe nonsense before
@theothernodude31393 күн бұрын
@ Lmao username checks out. The problem is that their interruption to the argument was that there wasn’t any true foundation to the stance, it was “well a book from 2,000 years ago told me, I look outside my window and don’t see curve, government is hiding it from us.” But it creates so many contradictions with a flat earth. Seasons, Coriolis effect, South Pole, Solar System, literally all other planets being spherical, etc. Even looking up the Thorntonbank Wind Farm, you can see the windmills go off the curvature in the horizon. I feel like if they stopped yapping about nonsense, listened to the scientists, then spoke with their evidence to back it up, it would make them seem more educated. They didn’t want to talk about how it would be flat because they know they don’t know how it’d be flat.

Do they understand people in the middle ages new the Earth was round the govement didn't tell them to believe that Neither did the media
@joshuamclean45884 жыл бұрын
I din’t think that was her point. I’m not taking her side or anything, but I believe what she was saying is when scientists say “you just can’t understand what I’m saying because you’re not smart enough” and people can’t think for themselves thats a problem. I’m not saying shes 100% right or wrong, there may be an aspect of truth even, but I don’t think thats what the scientists in this video are saying. It’s usually arrogant people on the internet that are the atheist version of the flat earthers here that think they have all the right information and everyone else is misinformed. But usually you just don’t know what you don’t know.

@@Globeishoax earth is a a verry big matter , everything in this universe attracts each other through a force , and the force depends upon the mass of the substance for example if i were to put only you in space and a pebble with million of light years of distance you both would end up being together because matter attracts each other . everything around us attracts each other wether it be your chair , table , bed etc. but you dont get stick eith them because the mass is very negligble as compared to earth , that is why earth attracts everything towards itself. And if we talk about your quetion , there is no up or down in a sphere(example :earth ) so you can be anywhere on the earth it wil atrract you towards its centre . that is the reason everythis is where it is and attracted toward the centr of earth.
