It all looks delicious! I need to make a grain mix to use as I tend to get stuck using only frozen rice because it’s easy. I would also love to see the count of different plant foods you had for the day, like Dr Will encourages for the gut.

I much prefer to go outside to walk but sometimes the weather doesn’t allow that. So glad to have a treadmill in my garage when needed!

@@NutmegNotebook There is a free app called Eat the Rainbow Food Journal, it's so easy to use and tracks your food colours in a very visual way, I didn't realise how little orange and purple I ate until I started using it, so now I've corrected that. x

Never eat anything when you’re extremely hungry! Eat breakfast if you can or make a healthier breakfast like a smoothie or something or breakfasts bar. And coffee or something in the morning after drinking water. For those who don’t like eating breakfast or 3 meals or more a day. Always do small portions. & don’t eat after 7pm. Make it 5-6pm last time eating dinner. And maybe a healthy very small snack if you’re a later hour person.

I should lay all the food out in the morning on a countertop and see if I can eat my way through all that food in one day. It does look like a lot and I am prone to eating small meals.

PS Dr Greger said that he wished he had emphasised mushrooms in his daily dozen. They do feature in the app with "other vegetables" so let's not forget them, they are super low in calories too.

Do you eat the whole bowl to yourself for your lunch? Looks beautiful, but I couldn't eat that much!
@amymartin5753

I also can’t eat that much in one meal. Some WFPB docs say no eating between meals and others say grazing is ok.

Tami eats the whole bowl but she only has two meals a day. I'm more of a grazer so when I make a big salad I split it into first and second lunch, works great because when I get hungry in the afternoon I pull out the second half.

Tami I am working on weight loss. Are nuts and seeds alowed with the ultimate weight loss? I would love to add a few nuts or seeds to my salads I’m just concerned if it’s compliant in my case.
@amymartin5753

Dr Fuhrman says to eat nuts/seeds with salads so the fat can aid in vitamin absorption- there are 200 calories in an ounce of walnuts- maybe try half an ounce a day of nuts.

It's a great idea but shouldn't there be one app for women and one for men since men are allowed to eat many more calories? And Dr Greger being a man may not have thought about it, men can have an extra 500cals or more. Being petite and over the menopause also affects the amount of calories I can eat. It seems to me that if I had as many grains and beans as advised in the app I would definitely put on weight, especially if I have the seeds and nuts too. I have a tendency to gain even now without the seeds, nuts and multiple portions of grains and legumes.
