Doctor Ian is a pure, genuine, and authentically reverent individual. My family and I had the pleasure of participating in a health workshop he organized & sponsored a couple of years ago. With hundreds of participants, I am willing to bet that he interfaced with each and every person - young and old. He has to be a 'disciple' placed among us!

It's funny how Angela gets so much flack from people when she is the most professional person on the show. She actually does research for each interview and asks great questions. Yes she does relate a lot of things to herself, but what is she supposed to do. These are not dateline interview and more so professional informal interviews. In addition, she has to be doing something right as she has been in the industry for as long as she has and everyone seems to think highly of her. Just a bunch of unhappy people that are unhappy with the place their life is in.

mresmith4302 she does a great job they all have their own role and they play their role well. The problem that people really have with her is that she's a woman and they feel she need to be in a woman's place what ever that mean. If you look at other shows were it's two men and a lady the response is always the same.

Well...im a woman lol and i can respect her doing her research but she has a bad habit of over talking the guests and bombarding the people with her findings instead of letting them complete their own thoughts. It gets annoying when the person cant finish a story they've started because Ye decides to talk about how she did the same thing with her friends a week ago. Just let the person talk

I think she was alluding the fact that drinking blended fruit can be dangerous for some people (diabetics) which the doctor confirmed. But he rightly stated that most normal individuals can eat as much fresh, whole fruit as they want. Blender or no

Sure, but by that logic she sounds even more ridiculous considering she has a juice bar and *all* of the fiber is removed from juice

When people have their opinion of someone then whatever they say or do will automatically appear in a negative light. She was not referring simply to pureed fruit, yet to the fruit that is pureed within the bowl in which CTG was referencing. She even mentioned it in saying they were thinking about doing the bowls at their juice bar, yet their research was showing that the way the bowls were made contained a lot of sugar both natural and artificial. Also, as the doctor stated, too much sugar even if it is natural is not good for you.

It's only because he was advising for people to eat cheese. And that the Kai Bowls are good for you, but she researched about them for her own juices for life establishment and found out that a lot of the places that make them use added sugar. It's fine to disagree with a doctor, new research is done all the time and doctors are only going by research in the first place.

There was some miscommunication. Angela was talking about the “added” sugar in açaí bowls. She didn’t use that word so he didn’t catch on. Always important to know how much sugar is in any store bought smoothies or bowls. If u make it yourself you know what’s in it.

Angela is right. There are Acai brands on the market, which do contain processed sweeteners, primarily cane sugar. Unsweetened ones are available, and few juice bars do get them. However, some still add processed sweeteners like Agave, Honey, etc. to it. Like everything else, there are some good brands with little-to-no processed ingredients, and there are some inferior brands with highly processed and questionable ingredients. Furthermore, it also depends on what the juice bar or vendor is adding to the Acai Bowl or Smoothie. So be sure to ask.

Here to clear 3 errors up: 1. You supposed to shit after you eat because of something in your nervous system called the gastrocolic reflex. This demonstrates a healthy functioning detoxified colon 2. The reason some herbivore animals have strength and don't eat protein from meat isn't all due to genetics. Proteins are complex chain amino acids. Greens contain amino acids. If you eat a large selection of greens you will gain enough of these different types of amino acids to form protein in vivo naturally. For example, Spirulina contains literally the full range of the different amino acids available and with a diet rich in these kind of foods you will see gains. 3. He's right about fried food. But if your going to go fried, fish is the best option. You need your omega fish oils for cardiovascular health and detoxification. Also fish is rich in HDL fat (the good fat) rathe than LDL. Fish is also a great source of protein. Otherwise, I agree 100%. - Take it from a medical doctor. Thanks

I think my diet will work for most people. Pretty Much I'm a vegetarian/Pescaterian .. I'm not a Vegan. I eat mostly Fruits and Vegetables, But I still eat some Meats like Eggs for B12. My mother has diabetes and I'm a Pre Diabetic, So I stay off of Processed foods and sugar as much as I can. I dont eat chicken or Beef or Pork.. Dont drink Sugary drinks. Might have some sea food but its very very Rare maybe twice a year on a holiday. I weight 220 and in like 6 months I'm down to 181 which is my high school weight which is what i wanted.... in all I feel like you cant eliminated everything from your diet but you can removed the things that are know to be bad for you or at least cut down on eating them and you will be fine.

*losing weight is 80% diet, 20% exercise* eat on time, don't eat late at night. get at least 6 hrs of sleep, shit at least once a day cut all candy/sweet, replace with either nuts, granola, fruits, crackers, sugar free gum, etc. cut sodas/soft drinks & especially energy drinks, replace with water, tea (hot/cold), etc. cut all PROCESSED meats (fish), fried foods, junk food, bread, pasta, etc...find out what foods are good/better eat SMALLER portions of food. eating till you're full & bloated is plain greediness & UNNECESSARY *optional exercises (because dieting works)* take a run outside, run on the spot indoors, run up & down the stairs, do push ups, sit ups, pull ups, etc. (NO GYM NEEDED) workouts DON'T take hours unless you want to put on (build) weight. there are 5/10 min intense workouts on youtube get a scale (preferably a digital one) & monitor your weight regularly daily, it helps you to DISCIPLINE yourself better if you're PAYING to losing weight in any way YOU'RE A FUCKIN IDIOT! losing weight is FREE & you save a lot of money its a small sacrifice for a huge weight loss. try dieting for ONE WEEK, you'll see & feel the difference. you'll shrink really quickly. exercising is a complete WASTE OF TIME if you're NOT seriously changing your diet, you'll NEVER see the results you want, ever

I like the advice he gives only issue is I just get confused on what advice and diet plan I should follow or what is really beneficial for my health,.His advice sounds good because it is not too complicated and its simple and straight forward. However I remember when Dr Amun, Dr. Amsu and Coach Gessie were on they were really strict on what foods people should consume for a healthy lifestyle. It is very confusing to take medical and health advice because these are all professionals but i don't know which advice is the best.

Oh wow, they explained the sugar and fruit issue sooo badly. The point is that to make 1 glass of orange juice it takes about 4 full sized oranges. That orange then has the SAME sugar as 4 oranges, but without the flesh and fiber that makes you feel full. Most people would not sit down and eat 4 oranges because they would feel full, but it is really easy to drink a glass of orange juice. In fact, people will have a glass of orange juice as a side to a full meal. Simple answer - put the orange juice aside and eat the orange!!!

@angeleyes3386

Lupe Lugo I think that it all depends on a person’s diet goals. My fitness trainer opposes fruits in my diet because it’s high in sugar. For my goals, I’m trying to lose fat and build lean muscle. So the sugar in fruit will increase my sugar content that I will have to burn off in the gym before my body even goes for the fat making my body work harder to get to the goal I am trying to achieve. Other people may have different diets- if they just want to be healthy (get adequate vitamins/minerals) then fruit in minimal supply may be ok.

@gerarobinson172 6 жыл бұрын
Lupe Lugo anything from the earth is not bad for you. No one can tell me fruits and veggies are bad for you. Can you have too much ? Yes. But like he said that’s what anything. You can get sick from having too much water. If you have a condition where sugar is an issue that’s diff. But we need sugar to operate. Its gives our brain fuel. Literally. Thats why when a diabetic has an attack they need sugars like orange juice or they can go into a comatose
@NaturallyNerdeeNicol
@NaturallyNerdeeNicol 6 жыл бұрын
Lupe Lugo not all fruits are high in sugar. Mango and Pineapple yes blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries are low sugar. High glycemic index usually means high sugar which will induce a blood sugar spike. Low glycemic will not shock the body with a blood sugar spike like that. Hope this helps!

It took me a long time to love plain water. Like him, I used to put lemon or lime in mine for flavor. A lot of people don’t like plain water. I had to force myself to drink it and now it’s the only beverage I drink besides tea.
