I'm on edge about Terra. Like anyone versed in DC lore knows its common knowledge that Terra will always be the traitor. But I'm nervous about her endgame. In the comics, Terra was an irredeemable sociopath unhealthily in love with Slade. In TeenTitans she was portrayed in a more sympathetic villain light. Judas contract (animated) also also kinda went that route. My two concerns for Young Justice Terra are : *1*. From what we can tell, Terra has developed Stockholm Syndrome towards Slade almost like a battered wife. So is she gonna become fully devoted to Slade or will she leave him? *2*. Going by past history Terra dies in almost all the media. So are they gonna kill off Terra in this as well?

Here's the thing, Slade doesn't give a flip about Terra. Never did. Terra is a tool for him to use. What he is doing is classic behavior for an abuser and the fact that she is going through adolescence makes her all the more easy to manipulate. First he saves Terra from a horrible experience. In that moment he has established himself as a beacon, a safety figure for the young and terrified child. Then He claims he will train Terra so that No one will ever be able to kidnap her and make her go through that again. Telling her repeatedly that her awful experience only happened because she was weak and helpless, and that the training is for her own benefit. Mentally conditioning her to listen him more willingly. During training he solidifies her attachment to him by repeatedly telling her that there is no one who she can trust or depend on but herself and Slade through brutal training and punishment, but then he offers her sweet words and praise like a honey trap making her accept only him in her heart. Punishment then praise, punishment then praise, rinse and repeat on an impressionable girl in her early teens and you got yourself a loyal and devoted slave who follows without question because in her mind she has been conditioned to believe that Slade is the only one who truly cares for her and that everyone is out to get her.

And what's crazy cool is that there is a Geo Force in Black Lightning, but his name's been changed to Brandon, and his mother died from experiments conducted on her in Markovia then as a result of that he got powers.
