A really interesting interview with one of my favorite musicians and improvisers. He hosted me for a couple of hours chat in his NY apartment two years ago. We talked about music, saxophones and more. A kind man of great insight. The plan was to return to NY to study with him for a couple of days but Covid has pushed everything forward. I hope to do it!!! Thanks.

Been listening to Ellery's music a lot. Really puts me in a creative mood. There's a lot of taoism in his thinking. Great interview!

Great music lesson. Thanks, Mr. Eskelin for the openness and sincerity, for sharing many insights, and for being an example of integrity. Thanks both of you for several hints to more inspiring music to check out. Some of it, that I just forgot about, some of it I just didn't know yet. Danke Dr. Jazz für die weitere Sprechstunde ;)

Great interview, thank you. As a listener, EE lifts my spirits like no one else. His liner notes and explanatory commentary art genial direct and smart. I boggled at One Great Day and have been twonking ever since. Love the current trio. Pulled out the Daniel Humair album with EE and Ducret yesterday, Sleeper hit
