The most commonly used is called PVA (polyvinyl alcohol). It is the material contact lenses are made of. It is completely inert and we’ve used it in fibroids over 25 years and in other tumors even longer with absolutely no issue. Learn more at ATLii.com

Your procedure is a treatment, but there are many different treatments. Some of us DO need surgery.

For anyone suffering with symptomatic fibroids very few need surgery. They might be told that, but actually very few do. Most women never hear about UFE because Gynecologists are surgeons and they like to operate. Only uterine cancer patients actually need surgery. Fibroids are benign and women deserve to know all of their options; not just the surgical ones as is typically the case.

@@SwearMY That's great, but the side effects of surgery are much more common and much more severe than with UFE. JS !
