I’m Dr John Patterson and I’m the Principal at St Vincent’s, a school for the visually impaired children in Liverpool, England.
Visually impaired children of some of the most creative children and young people I’ve ever met. But there is a lack of opportunity.
We’re lighting up purple to celebrate and show case how we’re working with our local communities including the Police, the Scouts, Lions, Rotary, Blind Veterans UK, connecting to the SDG’s, especially SDG’s 17, and sharing educational resources around the world.
Our children design and innovate new ideas they they’re sharing through the medium of the SightBOX.
Internationally we are lighting up the school as a beacon of best practice for the visually impaired working with, and for, around the world.
So, lighting up purple!
